In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on Xbox One, install Cheat Room from the main-menu Creations menu. The reported way to enter is to open Magic, find Cheat Teleport under Alteration, cast it, then choose Cheat Room. That spell-and-destination route comes from community reports; Bethesda’s accessible listing does not confirm the mod’s exact instructions.
Install Cheat Room on Xbox One
- Launch Skyrim Special Edition and select Creations from the main menu. Bethesda says the game may ask you to sign in to Bethesda.net the first time.
- Search for Cheat Room, select it, and choose Download.
- Check your Creations library or load-order screen to make sure the mod is present and enabled. Bethesda notes that some Creations may need load-order adjustments. Its installation guidance is at Bethesda Support.
Enter the Cheat Room
- Load a character and open Magic.
- Look in the Alteration spell list for Cheat Teleport. Community reports identify this as the access spell, but the exact method is not confirmed in the readable official listing.
- Cast Cheat Teleport and select Cheat Room if it appears as a destination.
Mod updates may change how this works. The available official listing did not provide readable instructions for the room’s controls, buttons, item lists, or effects, so use the in-game labels rather than relying on an unverified button-by-button guide.

If Cheat Teleport is missing or the mod will not install
- Check installation and load order: Reopen Creations and verify Cheat Room is in your library and enabled. If you use several mods, check the displayed load order.
- Restart and recheck: Restart the game, load your character, then inspect Magic > Alteration again. Community users have reported installing the mod without seeing an access spell; restarting is a basic troubleshooting step, not a Bethesda-published fix for Cheat Room.
- Free storage if Xbox reports insufficient space: Bethesda states that Skyrim Special Edition on Xbox has a 5 GB Creations storage limit. Remove selected Creations through the in-game Library to make room. Bethesda’s storage guidance is at Bethesda Support. Clearing the game’s reserved space is a broader fallback that removes all mods for that game, so do not use it casually if you want to keep other installed mods.
- Protect your save: Before experimenting with changes to quests or actors, create a separate save. This is prudent gameplay practice, not an official Cheat Room instruction.
Know the possible effects of enabling Creations
Bethesda warns that Creations can cause issues and says achievements are disabled unless otherwise specified. Treat enabling Cheat Room as a choice that may affect achievements on that playthrough; Bethesda’s guidance is general to Creations, not a Cheat Room-specific risk assessment. Xbox One is supported, though Bethesda notes that availability can vary by region, title, or platform in its Creations announcement.
What you need
You need The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on Xbox One to use its in-game Creations menu and this mod. If you do not own the game, it is a prerequisite; the mod itself is not a separate game.
