The easiest way to redeem your included Prime Gaming Twitch subscription on a phone is to use Safari, Chrome, or another mobile browser—not the Twitch iPhone app. Open subs.twitch.tv, sign in to the Twitch account linked to your eligible Amazon Prime account, choose a streamer, tap Subscribe, and select Prime Subscription. Do not choose a paid tier unless you intend to pay.
What the Prime Gaming sub gives you
A Prime Gaming sub is the included Tier 1 Twitch channel subscription that comes with eligible Amazon Prime memberships. Twitch may label it Prime Subscription or Use Prime Subscription.

What you need before starting
- An active Amazon Prime membership or an eligible Prime trial.
- A Twitch account.
- Amazon and Twitch accounts linked to each other.
- An eligible, monetized Twitch channel.
- An unused Prime subscription for the current eligibility period.
- Safari, Chrome, Samsung Internet, or another phone browser.
Prime trial eligibility varies by country and may be limited, including limits on receiving the benefit during a later trial. If you have multiple Amazon or Twitch accounts, identify the exact accounts you want to connect before beginning.
How to redeem a Prime Gaming sub on iPhone or Android
- Open a mobile browser. Use Safari on iPhone or Chrome/Samsung Internet on Android. This browser method is the most reliable across both platforms.
- Visit subs.twitch.tv. Sign in to the Twitch account that should receive the subscription.
- Find the streamer. Search for the channel, or open its subscription page directly using
https://subs.twitch.tv/STREAMERNAME, replacingSTREAMERNAMEwith the channel’s actual Twitch username. - Tap Subscribe. Open the channel’s subscription choices.
- Select Prime Subscription. Look for Prime Subscription, Use Prime Subscription, or an equivalent option.
- Confirm the redemption. The channel should then show your active subscription. Twitch may also offer a way to announce it in chat.

iPhone and Android differences
iPhone and iPad
The current Twitch help documentation says Prime subscriptions cannot be redeemed inside the iOS Twitch app. Use Safari or another browser and go to subs.twitch.tv instead.

Android
The Twitch Android app may offer Prime redemption in supported regions, but availability can depend on the region and app version. The mobile-browser route is clearer and more consistent, especially if the app shows only paid subscription choices.
Paid subscriptions purchased through iOS or Android can have platform-specific billing and cancellation rules. That is separate from redeeming the included Prime benefit.
How to avoid accidentally paying
Do not assume that tapping Subscribe automatically means the subscription is free. Before confirming, check that you selected the Prime option.

- Prime redemption: uses your included Prime benefit and should not require a payment method for the Twitch subscription.
- Paid subscription: shows a tier and price and may ask for Apple, Google Play, card, PayPal, or another payment method.
If a payment screen appears, exit without confirming. Return to the channel’s subscription choices and select Prime Subscription. Prime is Tier 1 only; Tier 2 and Tier 3 require a paid subscription.
How to link Amazon and Twitch
- Open Twitch in a mobile browser and sign in to the intended Twitch account.
- Open account settings and look for a Prime, Prime Gaming, or account-connection section. Twitch can change the exact menu names and location.
- Follow the Amazon sign-in and authorization prompts.
- Return to Twitch and check whether the Prime benefit is recognized.
If the wrong Amazon account is already signed in, sign out first. Likewise, check that you are not trying to redeem the benefit while logged into a different Twitch account. Twitch explains the account-connection requirement in its account settings help.

Open Twitch’s subscriptions page and review your active and expired subscriptions. You can also return to a channel’s subscription page. If the Prime option is unavailable or gray, Twitch may show the date when the benefit can next be used.

A Prime channel subscription generally cannot be canceled, transferred, or moved after it has been redeemed. Check the channel name carefully before confirming. Twitch’s cancellation guidance covers this distinction.

If the Prime option is still missing
- Sign out of Twitch and Amazon accounts on the phone.
- Open a private or incognito browser window.
- Sign in to the intended Twitch account first.
- Confirm the Amazon account has an active, eligible Prime membership.
- Reconnect the accounts if necessary.
- Try the streamer’s page again through subs.twitch.tv.
- Check whether the Prime benefit was already used or is restricted in your region.

If you want Tier 2 or Tier 3, or want an automatically recurring subscription, use the paid subscription flow. Be aware that a paid upgrade begins after the Prime subscription period and charges the selected payment method.

- Is that Twitch account linked to the correct eligible Amazon Prime account?
- Am I using a browser rather than the iOS Twitch app?
- Did I choose the correct streamer?
- Did I select Prime Subscription, not a paid tier?

- Can I see confirmation that the channel subscription is active?
If you do not have Prime, review Amazon’s current membership and trial eligibility at Amazon’s official Prime page. Eligibility and trial terms vary by region, so check the terms for your account before signing up solely for the Twitch benefit.
