What Call of Duty: NEXT 2025 covered
The event was a major information showcase for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and related Call of Duty content. According to the official recap, its main subjects included:
- Black Ops 7 Multiplayer: gameplay, systems, and multiplayer features.
- Zombies: gameplay and new content for the cooperative mode.
- Warzone: updates involving a new map and points of interest.
- Call of Duty: Mobile: information connected to the game’s sixth-anniversary content.
- Beta details: the schedule and access information for the Black Ops 7 beta.
- Competitive and community events: coverage related to the World Series of Warzone and the Call of Duty Endowment Bowl VI.
- Viewer rewards: time-based cosmetics and a Twitch-only beta benefit.
What rewards were originally available?
The original promotion awarded items based on viewing time. The reward schedule was:
| Viewing time | Reward | Platform note |
|---|---|---|
| 15 minutes | “COD NEXT” Emblem | Available through the eligible linked viewing platform |
| 30 minutes | “COD NEXT” Calling Card | Available through the eligible linked viewing platform |
| 45 minutes | “BO7” Charm | Available through the eligible linked viewing platform |
| 60 minutes | Early Access to the Black Ops 7 Open Beta | Twitch only |
The one-hour benefit was not a code for the full game. It was early access to the Black Ops 7 Open Beta and was subject to the promotion’s eligibility and regional restrictions. Black Ops 7 was sold separately.

The official reward terms required rewards to be redeemed within 48 hours of the broadcast. The Black Ops 7 rewards were scheduled to unlock with the game’s November 14, 2025 launch. Those deadlines have passed, so watching the archived video today should not unlock the historical rewards.
Did you need Twitch, or was YouTube enough?
YouTube was sufficient for the shorter viewing rewards under the original linked-platform setup. However, the 60-minute Black Ops 7 Early Access Open Beta reward was Twitch-only. Twitch and YouTube therefore did not provide completely identical benefits.
No paid Twitch or YouTube subscription was identified as a requirement. The documented requirements were an Activision account, linked platform and viewing accounts, and watching while signed in.

- Sign in to or create an Activision account.
- Link the relevant gaming platform account, such as Xbox, PlayStation, Battle.net, or Steam.
- Link a Twitch or YouTube account to Call of Duty.
- Watch the eligible broadcast while signed in to the linked account.
- For Twitch rewards, open Twitch’s Drops inventory and claim eligible drops after meeting the viewing requirement.
This procedure explains how the promotion operated in 2025; it is not a current method for claiming the expired NEXT rewards. If the replay does not display drops, that is expected: an archived video is not the same as live viewing during the promotional period.
