To beat Sunday’s three-phase Harmonious Choir encounter in Honkai: Star Rail, bring reliable sustain, use Fire, Lightning, or Imaginary damage in the first two phases, and take advantage of area attacks against the Echoes of Faded Dreams. In the final phase, keep breaking Sunday’s Toughness: the breaks both disrupt its charged attack and grant the party Walk in the Light protection.
What to prepare before the fight
- Plan for the first two phases: Fire, Lightning, and Imaginary are the reported weaknesses. Matching those elements can make it easier to reduce Toughness.
- Bring multi-target attacks: Four Echoes of Faded Dreams appear alongside the central boss in the opening phases. An enemy database says damage dealt to the Echoes is redistributed to the Great Septimus, making blast and area attacks useful for pressuring the encounter.
- Keep dependable sustain: The fight runs through three phases and ends with a high-impact, party-wide attack. A healer or shielder can help the team last through the final charge; avoid trading away too much survival for another damage dealer.
- Choose for your account: There is no universally best team established by these sources. Consider your available attackers, their investment, multi-target coverage, ability to break Toughness repeatedly, and sustain.
These element and encounter details are described in the Honkai: Star Rail Wiki enemy entry, the Honey Hunter World enemy entry, and Game8’s boss guide. A 2024 HoYoLAB community guide also recommends these damage types and multi-target attacks; treat its character suggestions as personal recommendations, not current rankings.
Phases one and two: hit the summons and the shared encounter
Use area damage while reducing Toughness
The opening phases place four Echoes of Faded Dreams around the central boss. Because the database reports that damage against the Echoes is redistributed to the Great Septimus, area attacks can contribute damage to the encounter while also helping pressure multiple enemies. Favor attacks that hit more than one target when doing so fits your team, and use weakness-matching attacks to reduce Toughness.
Reset your plan when phase two begins
Phase two starts a renewed encounter sequence. The enemy database notes that the Echoes recover from Weakness Break at the transition, so do not assume their breaks will carry over. Continue applying area pressure and breaking Toughness in the new phase.

Use the Astral Express special ultimate when it becomes available
The encounter can grant access to a special Astral Express ultimate through energy gained from character Basics and Skills. The database describes the attack as a powerful Imaginary strike against all enemies. Use it when available to add teamwide pressure; the indexed enemy entry does not provide complete conditions for an exact energy threshold.
Phase three: break Embryo of Philosophy Sunday
In the final phase, the boss changes form and is named Embryo of Philosophy Sunday. The enemy entry reports that this form has every elemental weakness, so your choice of attacker is less constrained by element than it was in the first two phases.
Keep breaking Toughness during the charge
Sunday advances its actions as you act while charging its major attack. The Honey Hunter World entry describes a seven-turn charge followed by massive Imaginary damage to all targets that ignores DEF. Keep applying Toughness damage during the sequence rather than focusing only on ordinary damage.
Rank #2
- 【Material】Acrylic
- Design:from Honkai: Star Rail characters.
- Size:about 5.91inches high
- Features: high gloss surface, smooth and flat, colorful, three-dimensional, not easy to fade.

Use breaks as both offense and protection
Breaking Sunday’s Toughness applies Walk in the Light to the party, according to the enemy entry and Game8’s guide. That makes continued break pressure valuable for two reasons: it disrupts the threat and provides protection. Maintain your team’s health and defensive support while working toward breaks; the sources do not establish a universal damage or survivability threshold, which can vary with builds, levels, difficulty, and encounter variant.

| What the team needs | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Fire, Lightning, or Imaginary damage | These are the reported weaknesses in phases one and two. |
| Blast or area attacks | Four Echoes appear in the opening phases, and damage against them is reported to be redistributed to the boss. |
| Repeated Toughness damage | It helps with breaks throughout the fight and is especially important during Sunday’s final-phase charge. |
| Reliable sustain | The party needs to remain alive through a multi-phase encounter and the final charged attack. |
Use these as selection criteria rather than chasing a named “best team.” The available guidance supports the mechanics and general roles, not a single lineup that is optimal for every account.
