What kind of fighting game is it?
NEN×IMPACT is a 2D fighter built around teams of three. You select three characters, fight using their individual abilities and team synergy, and call teammates for assists. The official descriptions also highlight Rush-button combos and Aura Arts. These are publisher and storefront descriptions, not a substitute for hands-on assessment of how the game plays.
Its listed modes cover online competition and offline play. Online options include ranked and player matches; local and single-player options include free battle, training, replays, Story, challenges and collectible profile items. The official game site lists Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Steam/PC. Online play is listed, but that does not mean players on different systems can play together: cross-platform play is not supported. If rollback is a priority, the official platform information points to PS5 or Steam. If you own a Switch or want to play on Switch 2, Nintendo says the Switch edition is supported there; it does not describe a separate Switch 2 version. Arc System Works lists digital versions for console and PC, plus physical editions for PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Its game page links to Amazon for the physical console editions; stock, exact contents and prices depend on the retailer and region, so check the current listing before buying. The official game site’s North American listing showed a $59.99 standard edition and a $74.99 digital Deluxe Edition with Season Pass 1 included. Those are regional listed prices, not guaranteed current prices or prices that apply everywhere. Steam lists Season Pass 1’s four characters—Neferpitou, Phinks, Shizuku and Zeno—and a Chrollo alternate costume. Why was the game delayed?
Bushiroad changed the planned 2024 release timing to 2025, explaining that it was concerned players could encounter online-play issues and be unable to fully enjoy a fighting game in that state.
