Most jobs ask you to recover items from a bandit camp and deliver them to Klaus; the named investigations, Warlock’s Riddle and Silent Partner, have specific clues, rewards, and—in Silent Partner’s case—a missable no-kill achievement.
What is In the Service of the Guild?
It is guild work tied to the Legacy of the Forge expansion, not a base-game-only activity. The Steam listing says the expansion requires Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Edition entitlements differ: Plaion says Standard Edition owners can buy the expansion separately or through the Expansion Pass, while Gold Edition owners receive it at no extra cost. Check the [Steam DLC listing] and [Plaion’s edition support page] for current platform and edition details.

How do the repeatable item-recovery jobs work?
Klaus Eichner assigns a recovery job for a set of target items. The community wiki reports 12 target-item sets and 13 possible bandit-camp locations; these are its account of the activity, not an official specification. Search the marked area for the assigned camp, open the correct locked chest, take the listed items, and return them to Klaus for groschen and blacksmith prestige. The [community wiki entry] describes the job loop.

One-click scans. No signup required.
- Speak with Klaus and note the required items.
- Travel to the marked search area and locate the bandit camp.
- Find and unlock the target chest; verify its contents against the requested items.
- Return the items to Klaus to complete the job and collect the reward.
Chest contents depend on the location and assignment. INARA’s [quest database] lists possible contents such as longswords, Milanese or noble armor, crafting resources, and weapon or armor sketches. These are possibilities, not a guaranteed loot list. The community wiki also notes that some targets can be found elsewhere, but obtaining a second copy may be less lucrative or more complicated than taking it from the directed chest.

Keep a requested sketch unread until delivery
If Klaus requests a crafting sketch, do not read that copy before handing it in. The community wiki says using the sketch consumes it, so it can no longer be delivered. Turn in the unread copy first; if you also want the recipe, the wiki suggests pickpocketing a copy, but that is a workaround rather than a guaranteed or risk-free method.
How do you complete Warlock’s Riddle?
Warlock’s Riddle is a named Guild Activity given by Bushek the Elder in Kuttenberg. PowerPyx says it requires Legacy of the Forge and completion of Klaus’ Introduction. Follow the investigation from the alchemist’s room to a wooded shrine, collect three ingredients, and bring them back to Bushek. The [PowerPyx walkthrough] gives the route.
- Accept the activity from Bushek and go to the inn west of Kuttenberg.
- Search the alchemist’s chamber in the locked upstairs room.
- Use the clue to find the wooded hill and unmarked shrine east of the inn.
- Collect the three requested ingredients and return them to Bushek.
Which Warlock’s Riddle reward should you choose?
Choose the dialogue option “I don’t want anything” if your priority is the Armourer V sketch. PowerPyx recommends that choice, and INARA also lists it as a route to the sketch. INARA lists “I’d like better materials” as another dialogue choice associated with the sketch, so the reward dialogue may not be limited to a single option. If you would rather prioritize prestige or materials, choose the corresponding offer, but the cited walkthrough specifically recommends “I don’t want anything” for Armourer V.
How do you complete Silent Partner without missing the achievement?
Silent Partner is a Klaus investigation that PowerPyx says becomes available after several repeatable investigation jobs. The achievement is missable: no enemy can be killed during the evidence-recovery section. Use stealth or knockouts rather than lethal attacks, and retrieve Master Mathias’ Dagger as proof to return to Klaus. See the [PowerPyx Silent Partner walkthrough] for the described route.

Recommended conversation and recovery route
- During the conversation, PowerPyx recommends choosing “(Silent)” twice, then “Who’s your king, Olbert?” and “Klaus should stay guildmaster.” The latter is a prestige check; a skill check follows to learn where the goods are. These are guide-recommended dialogue choices, not proof that alternate conversation routes cannot complete the case.
- Enter the walled site southwest of Kuttenberg without killing anyone. Use stealth or knockouts to get past enemies.
- Descend into the underground area and recover Master Mathias’ Dagger.
- Return the dagger to Klaus as evidence.
PowerPyx also recommends searching nearby chests for Armourer I and Caster II sketches. These are optional finds noted by the walkthrough, separate from the dagger needed as proof.
Quick Recap
How do the guild activities differ?

| Warlock’s Riddle | Investigate the alchemist’s room, follow the clue to the shrine, and bring three ingredients to Bushek. | Dialogue affects the reward; the walkthrough recommends “I don’t want anything” for Armourer V. |
| Silent Partner | Investigate the walled site, recover Master Mathias’ Dagger, and return it to Klaus. | Achievement requires no kills during evidence recovery; lethal combat can make it missable. |
