Where to start In Vino Veritas
Look for wine seller Casper Rudolf by the fountain in Kuttenberg. Speak with him to learn that he wants Henry to investigate the monastery wine. Walkthroughs place the quest in the Kuttenberg region and identify Casper as its starting point. How to handle Havel’s wine tasting
One reported way to investigate is to speak with Havel and answer his tasting questions. A current KCD2.org walkthrough reports this sequence for the Germany route:

- Say, “It’s missing ginger.”
The same guide lists other reported routes: France → Avignon and Italy → Vin Santo. These are walkthrough-reported dialogue answers, not confirmed by an official source; the available information does not establish that one route is better than another.

The quest objective list marks studying Casper’s wine book as optional. The walkthrough presents reading it as a way to improve Henry’s wine knowledge before speaking with Havel. You can pursue the tasting without treating the book as a required objective.
Find the monastery’s secret and report back
After investigating, report your findings to Casper. The quest’s essential endpoint is to discover the monastery’s secret and take that information back to him. The objective list describes reporting the investigation, finding the secret, and returning it to Casper; it does not establish a single required order for every intermediate step.

No. Getting hired at the vineyard is listed as an optional objective and opens the separate Under the Straw Hat task. KCD2.org’s guide says the sulphur wicks are in a locked room behind the kitchen, and describes collecting five wine seedlings as an optional bonus. Those activities are not the core requirement to return the monastery’s secret to Casper.
