He finds its character interactions and approach to disability more compelling than its opening exposition and sexual content.
What Lamplugh says the game is about
Lamplugh describes a boy in Japan who, after a heart attack and a diagnosis of arrhythmia, transfers to a school for disabled students and meets five young women. That is his concise account of the premise, offered as context for his response rather than as a complete guide to the game.

What did not work for him
The opening exposition
Lamplugh says the initial exposition did not hold his interest. This is a pacing reaction from one player; it does not establish how other readers will respond to the opening.
The sexual content
He also felt that the sexual material could seem tacked on and risked undercutting the sincerity of the characters. He notes that the content can be switched off. His concern is about how that material fits the story, not a claim that every player will find it distracting.

What he valued in the characters and disability portrayal
Lamplugh’s praise centers on the characters and on a distinction he sees the story making: disability gives characters context, but does not exhaust who they are. He values their depiction as people with varied emotions and ambitions, rather than treating disability as a substitute for personality. This is his interpretation of the game, not a universal account of disability or a claim to speak for disabled players.

Lamplugh recounts anecdotes about players being inspired to run because of Emi or to seek student-council roles because of Shizune. They illustrate the kind of personal response he associates with the game, but the essay supplies no measured outcomes or statistics. They should be read as anecdotes, not proof of a wider effect on players.
A personal discussion from 2012
The piece is most useful as a snapshot of one writer’s early-2012 response: he found the exposition and sexual content less successful, while valuing the character writing and the way disability informs—but does not define—the people in the story. Lamplugh also describes the game as free at the time he wrote. That period-specific statement does not establish its current price, distribution, platforms, or system requirements.
