What is commonly called a “cheat” currently falls into four different categories: official gift codes, obsolete Worldwide Beta Test Demo cheats, third-party PC trainers, and emulator-specific mods. They are not interchangeable, and most older files are not confirmed to work with the current retail version 7.1.2.
The game launched on November 13, 2025, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Version 7.1.2 was released on July 29, 2026 JST. Nintendo patch notes | PlayStation and Steam patch notes | Xbox patch notes

What works in the current game?
The only officially documented code system is the Gift Code feature. Level-5’s instructions do not document a developer console, text-command system, or universal cheat-code syntax for the retail game. PC trainers and Cheat Engine tables are separate third-party tools, while the old demo cheats were tied to a specific test build.
| Type | Where it applies | Current status |
|---|---|---|
| Gift Code | Retail game on supported platforms | Official feature; active codes are not listed on the official instructions page |
| Demo cheats | Worldwide Beta Test Demo, Switch version 1.1.0 | Not drop-in cheats for the retail game |
| PC trainer | Usually the Steam version | Build-specific; the indexed newest trainer targets v6.0.1+, not 7.1.2 |
| Cheat Engine table | PC process through Cheat Engine | Third-party and not documented as compatible with 7.1.2 |
| Emulator mod | Specific emulator and older Switch build | Not a retail-console cheat and not confirmed for 7.1.2 |
How to enter an official gift code
- Open the Title Menu.
- Select Information.
- Choose Gift Code.
- Enter the code in the Gift Code field and submit it.
- Open Claim Bonus Content and receive the reward.
Successful code entry does not necessarily place the item directly in your inventory. You must collect it from Claim Bonus Content. Some rewards cannot be used immediately and become available only after you reach the relevant point in the story. The official guide does not specify a required prefix, separator, command syntax, or platform-specific format.

Are there official active codes?
The official Gift Code instructions explain how to redeem codes but do not publish a current list of active promotional codes. Treat third-party code lists as unverified unless the code and reward have been confirmed through an official Level-5 source.
Why the old demo cheats do not work in the retail game
Early cheat guides targeted the Worldwide Beta Test Demo for Nintendo Switch, specifically version 1.1.0. Those cheats used memory addresses associated with that demo build. The retail Switch release has a different title ID and different build identifiers, so those addresses cannot simply be copied into the full game.
This is why claims that the old demo cheats work unchanged in the retail release are outdated. A memory address is meaningful only within the software build for which it was discovered; a different build can store the same value elsewhere or use an entirely different structure.
For background on the demo-specific cheats and their build limitations, see the version-specific explanation of the demo cheats.
Legacy Katakana passwords
Three passwords are frequently reposted in Victory Road cheat and code lists:
カハワヒコツイノモメオサモトネタヤイカントリキノヤホンイヨメイシントアワ
A third-party guide identifies these as legacy Inazuma Eleven Ares-era passwords rather than newly issued Victory Road promotional codes. Their current reward behavior is not documented on the official Level-5 page, so they should not be presented as confirmed current Victory Road codes.
That guide also reports possible input problems, including entering Latin characters instead of Katakana, using hiragana, or relying on paste operations that may fail on some platforms. These are third-party reports, not official restrictions. The official redemption instructions remain the authoritative source for the Gift Code menu and process. See the password guide and Level-5’s instructions.
PC trainers: what the listed hotkeys do
Third-party trainer listings expose gameplay toggles rather than in-game commands. One listing gives these hotkeys:

Num 4 |
Infinite Hyper Power |
Num 5 |
Infinite Bond Power |
Num 6 |
Infinite Keeper Power |

These hotkeys come from a third-party trainer listing, not from the game’s menus or official documentation. The same index lists a trainer labeled “Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Trainer v1.3.1-v6.0.1+”, updated June 14, 2026. It does not claim compatibility with retail version 7.1.2. Older entries target builds such as v5.0.2+, v5.0.1+, v3.0.1+, v2.0.3+, and v1.3+.
That build mismatch matters. Do not treat a trainer aimed at v6.0.1 or an earlier version as confirmed for v7.1.2. It may fail to activate, cause incorrect effects, crash the game, or behave unpredictably after an update. The current trainer index is available at Gamepressure.
Cheat Engine tables
A separate third-party listing describes a Cheat Engine table with functions including equipped skills and a player pointer. Its reported workflow is:
- Open Cheat Engine.
- Click Load and select the table.
- Click Select a process to open.
- Choose the game process.
The listed table was updated December 14, 2025, and is not documented as compatible with version 7.1.2. It is therefore a version-specific third-party modification, not a guaranteed current solution. The listing and its stated functions are described at VGTimes.

Use caution with any executable trainer or memory-editing tool: download only from a source you trust, scan files, keep backups of saves, and avoid using modifications in online or competitive modes where they may violate rules or affect other players.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Emulator mods are not Switch cheats
Some emulator packages provide resolution, frame-rate, or ultrawide changes for an older Switch build with title ID 0100B36008F90000. One reported package is labeled v1.2.0. These are emulator graphics or configuration mods, not cheats for a retail Nintendo Switch and not confirmed for the current retail game.
The installation path described in the report is specific to the emulator workflow: right-click the game, choose Open Mod Data Location, then extract the mod archive there. That path does not apply to Nintendo Switch retail storage. Details are documented in the reported emulator mod discussion.
Version-check checklist
Before trying any third-party file, check all of the following:
- Platform: Is it for Steam, an emulator, or a specific console environment?
- Build: Does the author explicitly name version 7.1.2?
- Game edition: Is it for the retail game rather than the Worldwide Beta Test Demo?
- Function: Is it a trainer, a Cheat Engine table, or a graphics/configuration mod?
- Update history: Was it updated after the game’s relevant patch?
- Save safety: Can you restore an unmodified save if something goes wrong?
The practical rule is simple: a demo cheat, emulator mod, Cheat Engine table, or v6.0.1 trainer is not automatically usable on retail version 7.1.2. Only explicit compatibility confirmation from the file’s author should change that assessment.
Version 7.1.2 and exploit-related rewards
Version 7.1.2 fixed duplicate-claim abuse involving Victory Road Beta Tournament rewards. The patch also removed rewards already obtained through the exploit, including rewards from Choose-a-Reward Crate. This is a game update correction, not a cheat code or supported farming method.
Bottom line
For legitimate retail use, start with Title Menu → Information → Gift Code, then collect successful rewards through Claim Bonus Content. The old demo memory cheats are not retail cheats, the widely repeated Katakana passwords are not officially confirmed current Victory Road codes, and the available PC trainers and Cheat Engine tables are tied to older or unspecified builds. Nothing in the documented material confirms third-party compatibility with version 7.1.2.
