Verdict: The Incott GHERO Pro is a capable, affordable wireless gaming mouse with a comfortable right-handed hybrid shape, reliable PAW3395 sensor platform, low weight, and a large 500 mAh battery. It is especially well suited to medium-sized hands using a claw or relaxed-claw grip. However, it is not a universal “perfect” mouse: the included receiver is limited to 1K polling, the 8K receiver costs extra, the software and firmware process can be awkward, and the scroll wheel is merely average.
At roughly $59.99 before shipping and taxes on the cited MechKeys listing, the GHERO Pro is best understood as a strong-value mouse—not a flawless flagship replacement.

Design, shape, and comfort
The GHERO Pro takes the general idea of the VAXEE NP-01 and adapts it into a smaller, lighter budget wireless mouse. It is clearly right-handed, but it avoids the pronounced palm hump and deep comfort grooves found on strongly ergonomic mice. That gives it a hybrid character: more accommodating to claw grip than a traditional office-style ergonomic mouse, while still offering useful right-side shaping.

There is no thumb rest, and left-handed users should look elsewhere. The relatively low hump and medium-sized body make the shape reasonably versatile, but fit still depends heavily on hand dimensions and grip.
| User profile | Likely fit |
|---|---|
| Medium hand, claw grip | Strongest match |
| Medium hand, fingertip grip | Plausible, depending on preference |
| Medium-to-large hand, palm grip | Possible, but check the dimensions carefully |
| Very small hands | May feel too long or wide |
| Very large hands | May feel undersized |
| Left-handed users | Poor fit |
A reviewer using a 19 × 10 cm hand found it comfortable in a claw grip and considered the shape suitable for many users. That is useful reference evidence, not a guarantee of universal comfort.
Is the GHERO Pro genuinely lightweight?
At approximately 64–66 g, the GHERO Pro is light enough for competitive FPS play and noticeably easier to control than many older wireless mice. It is not an extreme ultralight by current enthusiast standards, however. Modern gaming mice can weigh substantially less, so “lightweight” is accurate in ordinary gaming terms but should not be confused with sub-60 g design.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →The extra weight over the standard GHERO is largely explained by the Pro’s 500 mAh battery and improved UV coating. The standard GHERO is reported at roughly 60 g with a 300 mAh battery, while the Pro is around 66 g.
The matte UV-coated shell resists fingerprints reasonably well and is easy to clean. Independent inspection found no rattle, obvious shell creaking, or flex under normal lateral pressure, although squeezing the shell with moderate force could actuate the sides. One owner also reported a mildly rear-biased balance, apparently related to battery placement; treat that as an individual ownership observation rather than a universal defect.
Sensor and gaming performance
The PAW3395 is a high-end optical sensor platform, and the GHERO Pro pairs it with specifications commonly listed as up to 650 IPS and 50G acceleration. In practical terms, it should provide the accurate, consistent tracking expected from a modern competitive mouse when configured properly.
Rank #2
- HERO Gaming Sensor: Next generation HERO mouse sensor delivers precision tracking up to 25600 DPI with zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration
- 11 programmable buttons and dual mode hyper-fast scroll wheel: The Logitech wired gaming mouse gives you fully customizable control over your gameplay
- Adjustable weights: Match your playing style. Arrange up to five 3.6 g weights for a personalized weight and balance configuration
- LIGHTSYNC technology: Logitech G LIGHTSYNC technology provides fully customizable RGB lighting that can also synchronize with your gaming (requires Logitech Gaming Software)
- Mechanical Switch Button Tensioning: A metal spring tensioning system and metal pivot hinges are built into left and right computer gaming mouse buttons for a crisp, clean click feel with rapid click feedback
Those specifications do not independently prove superior aim. Firmware, lift-off distance, wireless stability, surface compatibility, and polling implementation all matter. The mouse’s headline DPI figure is also inconsistent across sources: one review lists 26,000 DPI, while launch material claims 32,000 DPI. The exact maximum is far less important than tracking performance at normal competitive sensitivities; a higher DPI ceiling does not make the mouse inherently more accurate.
The wireless and wired modes give the GHERO Pro the flexibility expected from a current gaming mouse. The available evidence does not establish a universal “zero input lag” claim, so buyers should not interpret the PAW3395 or 8K label as a guarantee of better in-game performance.
Does 8K polling matter?
The GHERO Pro supports polling rates up to 8,000 Hz, but the standard package includes a 1K receiver. The optional 8K dongle is listed at approximately $16.99, meaning a roughly $59.99 mouse becomes about $76.98 before tax or shipping when configured for 8K.
Higher polling sends position reports more frequently and can produce smoother cursor updates, particularly with high-refresh-rate displays. The benefits are most relevant to competitive players using very high refresh rates and systems capable of handling the additional CPU activity.
For many players, the practical difference between a well-implemented 1K mouse and a 4K or 8K mouse is difficult to perceive. Higher polling also increases power consumption and can introduce firmware or compatibility complications. The 8K receiver should therefore be treated as an optional enthusiast upgrade, not a required purchase.

Current retailer instructions indicate that switching between 1K and 8K may require receiver firmware and a wired-mode firmware step:

- Next-gen 12,000 DPI HERO optical sensor delivers unrivaled gaming performance, accuracy and power efficiency
- Advanced LIGHTSPEED wireless gaming mouse for super-fast 1 ms response time and faster than wired performance
- Ultra-long battery life gives you up to 250 hours of continuous gaming on a single AA battery
- Lightweight mechanical design and classic shape for maximum maneuverability, durability and comfort
- Compact, portable design with convenient built-in storage for included USB wireless receiver
- Connect the mouse by USB.
- Download the current GHERO driver and firmware tools from the seller’s support resources.
- Confirm whether you are configuring 1K or 8K operation.
- Apply the matching receiver firmware.
- Apply the wired-mode firmware step if instructed.
- Reconnect or re-pair the receiver.
- Check the result with a current polling-rate utility.
If pairing fails, repeat the procedure with only the relevant mouse and receiver connected, and do not interrupt the update. Firmware tools and instructions can change, so use the current vendor documentation rather than relying on an old download link. The MechKeys product page is the appropriate starting point.
Buttons and scroll wheel
The Huano main switches have a firm, snappy character. Independent testing found moderate stiffness, low post-travel, and moderate-to-high pre-travel. This will suit players who prefer deliberate clicks, but those seeking very light or quiet buttons may prefer another implementation.
The side buttons are well positioned and easy to reach with the thumb. One important testing caveat is that accidental clicks were possible at debounce settings of 5 ms or lower, particularly when the mouse was slammed onto the pad. That does not prove every unit will behave this way, but using a slightly higher debounce value may be sensible if unintended clicks appear.
Recommended Free Tools
The TTC scroll encoder is functional rather than premium. Testing reported noticeable scroll noise, average step separation, and a relatively firm middle-click. This is the clearest hardware compromise for users who scroll frequently or depend heavily on middle-click commands.
Battery life and charging
The 500 mAh battery is one of the GHERO Pro’s strongest advantages over the standard GHERO. Product documentation claims approximately 143 hours at 1K, but that is a stated figure under particular conditions—not an unconditional real-world promise.
Runtime changes substantially with polling rate, RGB lighting, sleep settings, firmware, battery condition, and usage. Some users report a week or more at lower polling rates, while 4K and 8K use can reduce practical runtime to several days. The Pro also has fast charging; one review reported a full charge in approximately 50 minutes, although charging time varies with the charger and test conditions.

Software and firmware experience
The configuration software reportedly supports button remapping, macros, DPI adjustment, polling-rate selection, sensor settings, profiles, and debounce controls. That is enough for normal setup, but the ownership experience is less polished than the hardware specifications suggest.

Firmware-upgrade tools may be separate from the main configuration application. Some interface controls have reportedly appeared clickable without an obvious function, and changing between 1K and 8K can require mode-specific firmware procedures. This is manageable for technically comfortable buyers, but it weakens the plug-and-play appeal.
Basic USB mouse operation may work without configuration software, but do not assume compatibility with macOS, Linux, consoles, mobile devices, or Bluetooth for every production revision. Verify the current manual and support page if those platforms matter to you.
GHERO versus GHERO Pro
| Feature | GHERO | GHERO Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Approximate weight | 60 g | 66 g |
| Battery | 300 mAh | 500 mAh |

For value analysis, compare the complete package you actually need. A $59.99 mouse used at 1K is a straightforward budget purchase; a $76.98 mouse-and-dongle bundle is a different proposition, and a competing mouse that includes a 4K or 8K receiver may offer simpler setup even if its sticker price is similar.
How it compares with alternatives
The VAXEE NP-01 and NP-01S are the relevant shape references. They offer the established NP-01 family design and typically a more mature support experience, but buyers should expect a different price, weight, and feature balance.
Logitech’s G Pro Wireless and G Pro X Superlight families offer a stronger mainstream software and support ecosystem. They may cost more and use a different shape or feature mix, so their advantage is ownership confidence rather than automatically better aim.
Other budget PAW3395 or 8K mice from brands such as MCHOSE, Darmoshark, and VXE may be lighter or cheaper. Their shape, firmware, quality control, warranty, and receiver packaging vary, so sensor specifications alone are not enough to select between them.
Who should buy the Incott GHERO Pro?
- Buy it if: you have a medium-sized hand, use a right-handed claw or relaxed-claw grip, want a capable wireless mouse near the $60 price range, and value battery life more than absolute minimum weight.
- Consider it carefully if: you use palm or fingertip grip, want 8K polling, or expect polished software and effortless firmware updates.
- Skip it if: you are left-handed, require a genuinely sub-60 g mouse, want a premium scroll wheel, prefer a strongly ergonomic palm-rest design, or are unwilling to troubleshoot firmware.
The Incott GHERO Pro is a good budget wireless mouse for the right buyer: particularly a medium-hand claw-grip FPS player who wants an NP-01-style shape, strong sensor hardware, and a large battery. It is not the universal “perfect” gaming mouse suggested by the original title, and the optional 8K receiver should not be mistaken for included functionality.
