The Captain’s Cipher door code is 3666. During “A Harsh Climb” aboard the KMS Kummetz, arrange the cipher wheels as J-Ö-G-M, align that clue at the top to reveal BLUT, then use the Code Table to turn BLUT into 3666.
Where to find the Captain’s Cipher
The puzzle appears in the officer’s mess area during the Himalayas section of “A Harsh Climb,” aboard the KMS Kummetz. Read the Captain’s Code note beside the cipher device: its clue is J-Ö-G-M. The umlaut matters—the second wheel must show Ö, not an ordinary O. GameSpot’s Captain’s Code and Code Table guide covers the room and clue.

How to solve the Code Table and Captain’s Code
- Set the wheel order. Place J in the first slot, Ö in the second, G in the third, and M in the fourth.
- Align the cipher. Close the device and line up J-Ö-G-M with the arrows at the top.
- Read the decoded word. The letters beneath the aligned clue spell BLUT.
- Look up the word. Find BLUT in the room’s Code Table; its corresponding number is 3666.
- Open the door. Enter 3666 on the locked door panel to continue.
The device and table do different jobs: the cipher translates J-Ö-G-M into BLUT, and the Code Table translates BLUT into the numeric door code. PowerPyx’s A Harsh Climb walkthrough independently confirms the wheel order and solution.
