Its appeal today is primarily dependent on a live seller’s price and condition, because its official major-Android-update commitment was limited.
The Infinix GT 10 Pro is a 2023 value-focused gaming phone, not a current flagship. Its core proposition remains easy to understand: a MediaTek Dimensity 8050, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage, a 120 Hz AMOLED screen, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 45 W charging. Whether it is a sensible purchase now depends far more on the exact live listing—price, condition, network compatibility, included accessories, and software status—than on its original launch specification.
What the GT 10 Pro offered
Infinix introduced the GT 10 Pro globally on August 2, 2023 as the first phone in its GT Series. The design and launch messaging were overtly gaming-oriented, with cyberpunk styling aimed at younger players. It arrived in India shortly afterward, where the 8 GB/256 GB configuration launched at ₹19,999. Treat that as a historical launch price only: it is not evidence of what a new, used, refurbished, or import-unit phone should cost today.

| Area | Documented specification | What it means for a buyer |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | MediaTek Dimensity 8050 | A performance-oriented 2023 chipset; compare it against the phones available at the seller’s actual price, not against current flagship chips. |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage | Generous built-in storage for large games and media. A dedicated microSD slot is also listed in technical references. |
| Display | 120 Hz AMOLED, 360 Hz touch sampling | High refresh and responsive touch are useful for supported games and general scrolling. They do not, by themselves, guarantee a game’s frame rate. |
| Battery and charging | Typical 5,000 mAh dual-cell battery, 45 W charging, PD 3.0 | Strong on-paper capacity and charging support. Actual battery capacity can vary slightly, and real endurance depends on battery health, settings, signal, and game load. |
| Rear camera | 108 MP main, plus 2 MP macro and auxiliary modules | The main camera has a high resolution, but megapixels alone do not establish photo quality. |
| Front camera | 32 MP | Potentially useful for calls and streaming, but resolution is not a complete measure of image quality. |
| Audio and ports | Stereo speakers and 3.5 mm headphone jack | A practical advantage for wired gaming headsets without needing a USB-C adapter. |
Gaming features: useful on paper, but do not over-read them
The GT 10 Pro’s launch material emphasized gaming, including vapor-chamber cooling and bypass charging. Bypass charging is intended to let the phone draw power while gaming with less reliance on charging the battery at that moment; in principle, that can be attractive during long plugged-in sessions. Vapor-chamber cooling is likewise intended to help manage heat.
Those are manufacturer and launch claims, not a substitute for measured results. They do not establish a particular sustained frame rate in a specific title, thermal behavior in a hot room, charging time, or battery runtime. A shopper who mainly plays demanding games should look for hands-on testing of the exact game and settings they use, while remembering that game updates and ambient temperature can change results.

- The controller gaming grip case has an ergonomic design and comfortable feeling to relax your hand fatigue for the long-time gaming.
- Built-in stand clip attached at the back of the grip, adding more convenience for your phones.
- This joystick is only as big as it needs to be for your thumb’s effortless moves. Its size is optimized so it does not block critical information on your HUD or skill map.
- Enjoy your game by shooting with your index finger while your thumb are moving, no delays. Easy to use and high precision. It is equipped with the direct function of the mobile phone.
- With anti-skid ripple button, 360 degree flexible and removable. You can shoot or aim conveniently while moving. Controller gamepad also allows gamers to charge and plug in earphones while playing.
The 120 Hz AMOLED panel and 360 Hz touch-sampling specification are more directly relevant to the feel of play. A fast screen can make menus, supported games, and aim adjustments feel more immediate. But there are two separate limits: the game must support the requested refresh rate, and the phone must be able to render it consistently. A 120 Hz display is not the same thing as verified 120 fps gameplay.
Software is the central caution in 2026
At its India launch, the GT 10 Pro ran Android 13 with XOS 13. Infinix’s official launch-era commitment covered at least one upgrade to the next major Android version during the two years following the global launch. Because the phone launched on August 2, 2023, that was a limited, time-bounded commitment; it should not be treated as a promise of future major Android releases or future security patches in 2026.

This matters more than many spec-sheet comparisons suggest. Software version and security-patch level affect compatibility, security, and how long the phone is likely to remain comfortable as a daily device. An Android Central review praised the hardware value but found XOS 13 inconsistent and called out the limited major-update policy. That is one reviewer’s assessment rather than a universal verdict, but it is a sensible issue to investigate before purchase.

Before paying, ask the seller for screenshots of:
- Settings > About phone, showing the installed Android/XOS version.
- Settings > Security or the equivalent security-status page, showing the Android security-update date.
- Settings > System update, showing whether an update is available.
- The device model number and IMEI status, where lawful and appropriate in your market.
Do not assume that every region, carrier, resale unit, or old-stock device has identical software. Avoid buying on the promise that it “will get” an unspecified future Android version unless the seller can point to a current, region-specific official statement.
Who should consider it now?
The GT 10 Pro can still make sense for a budget-conscious player who finds a clean, appropriately priced unit and values its 256 GB storage, AMOLED display, wired-headset jack, and gaming-focused hardware. It is a more cautious recommendation for anyone who wants long remaining software support, reliably current security patches, a known-new battery, or the best available performance at a higher modern budget.
It is especially important not to confuse it with the later Infinix GT 20 Pro or GT 30-series phones. They are different models with different hardware, software timelines, prices, and accessory fit. A listing that says only “Infinix GT” is not specific enough.

How to evaluate a live listing
- Identify the condition. Establish whether the handset is new, old stock, refurbished, open-box, or used. “New” does not tell you how long the battery has been sitting or which software build is installed.
- Compare the all-in price. Include shipping, tax, charger, case, repair risk, and return shipping. Compare against current alternatives at that final price.
- Confirm network compatibility. Check the exact variant’s supported bands against your carrier, especially if it is an imported device. Do not infer compatibility from the phone name alone.
- Check the battery and charging package. Ask whether the original 45 W charger and cable are included and working. A compatible charger may not deliver the same charging behavior.
- Inspect the screen. On a used unit, check AMOLED uniformity at low brightness, touch response across the panel, burn-in, dead pixels, and refresh-rate behavior.
- Test gaming-specific basics. Run the games you actually play, use Wi-Fi and mobile data, test speakers and the headphone jack, and watch for abnormal heat or battery drain during the return window.
- Verify return and repair terms. A low price is less compelling if the phone cannot be returned or repaired locally.
Camera expectations
The 108 MP main rear camera is the headline camera specification. It is reasonable to expect a usable general-purpose camera from a phone in this class, but do not make a buying decision from resolution alone. Image processing, stabilization, lens quality, low-light behavior, and the seller unit’s condition matter. The additional 2 MP macro and auxiliary rear modules should not be treated as equivalent to a versatile ultrawide or telephoto camera system.
If camera performance is important, inspect full-size sample images or test the exact unit in daylight and low light. For a gaming-first purchase, the display, controls, thermals, software condition, and battery health are usually more consequential.
Accessory advice: buy for the exact model
The most useful first accessory is a model-specific protective case. Search Amazon for “Infinix GT 10 Pro X6739 case”. Retail listings associate the GT 10 Pro/GT 10 Pro 5G with model identifier X6739, which makes this search much safer than a generic “Infinix GT case” search.
Before ordering, make sure the listing title explicitly names Infinix GT 10 Pro or X6739, then inspect the photos for the camera island, USB-C port, speaker, headphone-jack, and button cutouts. Do not assume a case for a later GT-series phone will fit this one.

Verdict
The Infinix GT 10 Pro was compelling as a 2023 affordable gaming phone because it combined a Dimensity 8050, 8 GB/256 GB memory configuration, 120 Hz AMOLED display, 5,000 mAh battery, and 45 W charging in a gaming-styled package. Today, it is a conditional value buy rather than a default recommendation. A well-priced, verified unit can be appealing for casual and budget gaming; an expensive listing, weak return policy, uncertain battery condition, incompatible bands, or stale software should move you toward a newer alternative.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is ₹19,999 the current price of the Infinix GT 10 Pro?

Will the GT 10 Pro still receive Android and security updates?
Its official launch-era commitment was at least one major Android upgrade during the two years after the August 2, 2023 global launch. That does not confirm any future major-version or security-update support in 2026. Check the exact handset’s installed version and security-patch date.

Which case fits the Infinix GT 10 Pro?
Search for “Infinix GT 10 Pro X6739 case.” Confirm that the product title explicitly says GT 10 Pro or X6739 and check the camera, ports, and buttons in the listing images.
Does its 120 Hz display guarantee 120 fps gaming?
Not automatically. Screen refresh rate, touch sampling, game support, graphics settings, software version, and sustained thermal performance all affect gameplay. The launch material’s cooling and bypass-charging claims are not independently verified frame-rate testing.
The Bottom Line
Buy the GT 10 Pro only when the live price and verified condition compensate for its age and limited documented software commitment. Confirm the exact unit’s software, battery, bands, return terms, and accessories before ordering.
