The developer’s most recent update post, dated October 2, 2026, describes an October update that was being prepared; it does not confirm that the update has shipped. KRAFTON has also planned a PlayStation 5 release for the first half of 2027, a window rather than a fixed date.
When inZOI entered Early Access
KRAFTON’s Korean-language launch announcement set the global Steam launch for 9 a.m. Korea time on March 28, 2025. The Steam store page shows March 27, 2025 instead. That gap is a time-zone effect: the same launch moment falls on the previous calendar day in time zones behind Korea. Readers will see both dates, but they describe one launch.

The Steam listing identifies inZOI as a PC game in Early Access. Its Early Access notice states that the game is incomplete and may change, and says the developers plan to keep improving it for at least a year while noting that the roadmap could change.
What the Steam listing says today
The Steam page, checked on October 8, 2026, describes inZOI as a life simulation game built around controlling and observing Zois, customizing characters and homes, community simulation, and creative tools. It also cites a vendor-published figure of more than 250 customization options. That is a count from the store listing, not an independent assessment of depth.

The early KRAFTON showcase in 2024 described Canvas sharing and a simulation in which citizens and city conditions, influenced by the player, produce changing events. Those showcase descriptions are the earliest source for the community and city-simulation ideas, and the current store copy should be treated as the more recent statement of what the game is.
The roadmap so far
KRAFTON’s public plans have shifted three times since launch. Each statement is a plan, and none of them guarantees a delivery date.
Fundamentals First and the 2026 Roadmap (December 2025)
The December 2025 post, titled “Fundamentals First & 2026 Roadmap,” moved the emphasis toward polishing and strengthening the core experience. It allocated more work to fundamentals in the second half of 2026. The attached roadmap lists broad areas, including:
- Family and relationships
- Zoi autonomy and behavior
- Career and economy systems
- World and environment
- Travel and animation
- Customization, building, and progression
The post says the schedule may change depending on progress, so these items describe intent rather than a commitment to any particular month.
Beyond the Fundamentals (January 2, 2026)
The January 2, 2026 post said modding, multiplayer, AI NPCs, and Canvastown/Fate Engine were under active research and development validation. It also said timelines and scope could change based on development progress and testing. The post set the priority for the year in direct terms: Kjun wrote, “Before investing heavily in new features, we’ve set our top development priority for 2026 as making existing features smoother, more complete, and higher quality.”
The October 2, 2026 developer post
This is the most recent developer update. Kjun wrote that the team was preparing an October update to improve autonomy, make existing lots more attractive, refine unique NPCs, and add outfits and hairstyles. The post also lists planned fixes for social-event and restaurant issues, and Build Mode access permissions and action-order editing.
On modding, the post says UI creation with HTML, Lua scripting, and MCP had already been added, and that developer-level tools through a Mod Kit Editor were planned. The quoted line on autonomy reads: “For October, we’re preparing an update that will improve autonomy based on areas that fell short in the previous update, make existing lots more attractive, refine the appearance of unique NPCs, and add new outfits and hairstyles.”

The official news index lists v0.10.0 as its latest item, but the patch-note page could not be opened when this article was checked. As a result, it is not established what v0.10.0 contains or whether it includes the items in the October 2 post. Until a dated patch note confirms specific changes, treat the October list as planned work.

A matching list of changes in a dated patch note is confirmation; a developer post alone is not.
PlayStation 5 timing
On May 15, 2026, Kjun said inZOI was planned for PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2027. The post explained that the team was adapting performance, controls, and interface for console hardware, including DualSense use. The first half of 2027 is a planned window. It can move, and no PS5 release date has been announced beyond that window.
PC requirements
The Steam listing publishes the following requirements. These are the developer’s published figures, not independent performance tests, and they can change, so check the store page before buying hardware.

To compare your machine, check your GPU model and its VRAM, then your installed RAM and free storage. A machine that meets the minimum tier should launch the game; one that meets only the minimum may need reduced settings to run well, which the published figures do not measure.
