No. In August 2024, DC Studios co-head James Gunn dismissed a reported game set in the universe of Matt Reeves’ 2022 film The Batman, saying: “Sadly there is no truth to this whatsoever.” The denial addressed that specific rumor—not every Batman game or every DC game project.
What did James Gunn say about a game based on The Batman?
Asked whether Warner Bros. had a game in development based on the Robert Pattinson-led film, Gunn replied, “Sadly there is no truth to this whatsoever,” according to Engadget’s August 31, 2024 report. GameSpot reported the denial on August 30, 2024.

The rumor concerned a game connected to Reeves’ film continuity. GameSpot’s account linked it to a possible project based on HBO’s The Penguin, which is set in the same universe. That is the scope of the reported rumor; Gunn’s response does not establish the status of any later proposal or announcement.
Does the denial mean DC has no Batman games?
No. A game based on Reeves’ The Batman is different from other Batman or DC projects. GameSpot’s August 2024 report also mentioned Batman: Arkham Shadow and a Wonder Woman game as separate projects then in development. That report does not establish their present status.

In other words, the 2024 denial applies to the rumored game set in the Pattinson film universe. It should not be read as a claim that no Batman games exist or that DC has no other game projects.

In a January 2023 interview with DC, Gunn discussed using games as a possible bridge between DCU films, offering a Krypto game as one example of an intervening story. He also described Reeves’ The Batman as “its own thing” and said the plan was for Reeves’ story to continue.

That interview shows that DC had discussed games as part of broader storytelling plans, but it does not announce a Reeves-universe game or provide evidence about the later rumor. The two statements concern different continuities and different points in time.
