No. An End City is a generated structure in Minecraft, not a biome. In Java Edition, End Cities can appear in the outer End’s End highlands and End midlands biomes. The names and biome distinctions differ in Bedrock Edition.
What is an End City?
An End City is a tall, castle-like structure generated in the End. It may contain shulkers, End rods, ender chests and purpur blocks, as described in Minecraft’s End Highlands article.
An End ship is a separate structure associated with some End City finds. It is not a biome either.
Which biomes can End Cities appear in?
In Java Edition, the relevant outer End biome names are End highlands and End midlands. Minecraft Help says End Cities can appear in both regions; they are not limited to the highlands. The same guide notes that chorus fruit appears in the highlands but not the midlands: Minecraft Help’s biome guide.

Does the End have biomes?
“The End” names a dimension, but it is also the name of a biome associated with the central island in Java Edition. The outer islands have other named biomes, including End highlands and End midlands. This is why saying “the End biome” can be ambiguous: it may mean the central-island biome or the dimension more generally. Minecraft Help distinguishes these Java Edition biome labels from the dimension’s regions.
Is the answer different in Bedrock Edition?
Yes, the biome terminology is edition-specific. Minecraft Help marks the named outer End biomes above as Java Edition biomes. Microsoft’s world-generation overview describes Bedrock Edition’s End as having a single biome type: Microsoft Learn’s Bedrock world-generation overview. So the Java labels End highlands and End midlands should not be presented as Bedrock biome names.
