The confirmed Xbox Free Play Days trials ran February 19–22 and May 14–17, so both have ended. Xbox has instead announced that Battlefield 6 joins Game Pass on October 13 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Is Battlefield 6 free to play on Game Pass this weekend?
As of October 8, 2026, the available Xbox announcements do not list Battlefield 6 for an October 9–11 Free Play Days event. Xbox’s October 1 announcement named other games for its October 1–4 event; it did not announce a Battlefield 6 trial for this weekend. That does not rule out a later or regional promotion, so check the live Xbox listing if plans change.
The most recent confirmed Battlefield 6 Free Play Days windows in the announcements are past events: February 19–22 and May 14–17, 2026. Neither is an ongoing offer.
When does Battlefield 6 arrive in Game Pass?
Xbox Wire’s October 7, 2026 update lists Battlefield 6 for October 13 on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This is announced catalog access through a subscription, not a short Free Play Days trial. Check the live Xbox listing for availability on your platform and in your region.

What kind of game is Battlefield 6?
EA describes Battlefield 6 as a first-person military shooter with a single-player campaign, multiplayer, vehicles, destructible environments, and Portal community experiences. Its official page names four core classes—Assault, Support, Engineer, and Recon—and modes including Conquest, Breakthrough, and Escalation.
In its February 17, 2026 announcement, EA reported a nine-mission campaign, 12 maps as of the Season 2 launch, more than 30 gadgets across classes, and more than 40 primary weapons as of that launch. These are dated publisher counts, not a confirmed October 2026 inventory.

Free Play Days, Game Pass access, or buying the game?
These are different ways to access the game. The February and May Free Play Days events were temporary; Xbox’s October 13 announcement is subscription catalog access for the listed plans and platforms. Buying the game is a separate route, but current prices are not established here. EA links to the EA app, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store; check the relevant store for current regional price and edition.
