There are three named modes: Story, Career, and Sandbox. The publisher advertises more than 45 licensed buses from 13 manufacturers, two cities with 20 districts, and more than 250 bus stops. Those are publisher-published scope figures, not independent measures of how varied or deep the game feels. Coach buses are a new vehicle type for the series, allowing longer-distance journeys. Yes. The official FAQ confirms cooperative play for up to four players and crossplay between PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. The official site describes coordinating routes and managing a fleet together. PC players can access mods through an integrated mod.io browser; console mod downloads and a PC modding kit were described in the FAQ as planned for later access, so check the current FAQ rather than assuming those features are already available. When did it release, and which editions are available?
The official FAQ lists September 8, 2026, as the release date for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It says Year 1 Edition preorders received five days of early access, beginning September 3. Listed purchase channels include Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and retail stores in several countries; that does not establish boxed-copy availability in every region. Storefront prices and edition presentations can vary by region and change over time. At the time of the storefront snapshot, Steam listed the base game at US$29.99 and Year 1 Edition at US$49.99, and showed a Deluxe Edition bundle and a bundle with City Transport Simulator 2026. Epic listed the Windows base game at US$29.99 and editions at US$34.99 and US$49.99. Will your PC run Bus Simulator 27?

If your PC is near or below the minimum, compare each component with the current official listing before purchasing. The FAQ also says VR support is not planned in its current text. Which controllers and wheels are supported?
Mouse and keyboard and console gamepads are supported. The FAQ lists wheel support by platform: Logitech G29 is listed for PC and PS5; Xbox Series X|S examples include Logitech G920 and G923 (Xbox), Thrustmaster T128, and Thrustmaster TX (Xbox). Some listed wheels have in-game presets, while others may require manual configuration. Check the exact platform compatibility before buying a wheel; the G29 is not listed for Xbox. Official FAQ
