No official source cited here says that new players can claim Crimson Desert’s base game for free. Pearl Abyss announced the game’s worldwide launch on March 19, 2026, and says current owners receive a free upgrade to the Enhanced edition. That upgrade is for existing owners—not a free-game giveaway. Check your platform’s official store for its current regional listing.
What does “free” mean for Crimson Desert?
Pearl Abyss’s official site describes a free upgrade to the Enhanced edition for current Crimson Desert owners. It does not say that people who do not own the game can claim the base game without paying. A free upgrade and a free copy of the game are different offers.
