BBC Sport reported Ronaldo as a playable character. An SNK spokesperson told the outlet: “CR7 is not only a sports superstar but also the world’s No.1 influencer. That’s why we approached him for this collaboration.” That is SNK’s promotional positioning, not an independently established ranking. The spokesperson also said SNK saw Ronaldo as integral to its ambition of establishing Fatal Fury as the “No.1 fighting game”—a stated goal, not a claim about its current market position. In an update announced July 11, 2025, SNK said Ronaldo’s South Town story would be added to Arcade Mode on July 15. The story follows him as he strives to improve his skills.

EOST quest
