Is Cyberpunk 2077 Still on Xbox Game Pass? September 2026 Removal

No. Xbox listed Cyberpunk 2077 among the games leaving Game Pass on September 15, 2026, so it is no longer included in the catalog as of October 8, 2026. The game first joined Game Pass Premium and Ultimate for Cloud and Console on March 10, 2026.

When Cyberpunk 2077 joined—and left—Game Pass

Xbox announced on March 3, 2026, that Cyberpunk 2077 would arrive on March 10 for Game Pass Ultimate and Premium, with Cloud and Console availability. Xbox’s US English announcement did not list PC Game Pass for the game. Xbox Wire’s March announcement gave the original availability details.

That subscription availability was temporary. In its September 1 catalog update, Xbox listed the game as leaving the library on September 15, 2026, for Cloud and Console. See Xbox’s September Game Pass update for the departure notice. CD PROJEKT RED also announced the earlier Premium and Ultimate availability on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, but that announcement described the game’s status at the time, not its current catalog listing: CD PROJEKT RED game news.

Catalog availability can vary by market, so players outside the US should check the Game Pass catalog in their region before subscribing on the assumption that the game is included.

How to play Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox now

With the game no longer listed in the subscription catalog, the other route is to buy the Xbox version. Check the current edition and console compatibility on the Xbox store page before purchasing.

Choose a version that fits your console

The Xbox store says the Xbox One version received its last patch on November 8, 2022, and is no longer supported. Xbox Series X|S is required to download and apply later patches. The Series X|S version is also required to buy and play the Phantom Liberty expansion.

Check the edition and expansion separately

Buying the base game is not the same as owning Phantom Liberty. If you want the expansion, confirm that the edition or add-on you select includes it and that you will play on Xbox Series X|S. Subscription access, when available, is also separate from ownership: a game leaving the catalog does not mean it remains playable through the subscription.
