Yes. Delta Force: Black Hawk Down is a free digital campaign, not a separate paid game. On Steam it is free DLC that requires the Delta Force base game. Free campaign access was also announced for Xbox Series X|S and PS5; check the relevant platform store for current regional availability.
When did the campaign launch?
Garena announced on February 19, 2025 that the campaign would be free on PC from 02:00 UTC on February 21. Steam records February 20, 2025 as the DLC release date; that is the date shown on its listing, rather than a reason to treat the two announcements as conflicting.

The console releases came later. Xbox Wire announced the Xbox Series X|S launch for August 19, 2025, with Black Hawk Down available as a free download. PlayStation lists the PS5 release on August 19, 2025 as well. Xbox Wire’s September 25, 2026 anniversary coverage still describes the campaign as part of Delta Force, though it is not a platform-by-platform check of campaign availability.

How do you download it on PC?
- Open the Delta Force page on Steam and install the base game if you do not already have it.
- Open the game’s DLC section and select the free Black Hawk Down campaign, then add or download it through Steam.
- Check Steam’s live listing for the current installation requirements and available download details.
On Xbox Series X|S or PS5, search for Delta Force or Black Hawk Down in the relevant console store and follow the listing’s download instructions. The cited console sources confirm free access was announced or listed, but do not specify platform download sizes.

What is included in the campaign?
Garena describes Black Hawk Down as a co-op campaign, a reboot of the 2001 film and a tribute to the 2003 game Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. It uses Unreal Engine 5 and contains seven sequentially unlocked chapters. Players choose a class and customize a loadout.

Can you play the campaign solo?
Yes, but Garena warns that solo play is “incredibly challenging.” The Garena Delta Force Team recommends a full squad of four for the optimal experience. That recommendation is about the intended co-op experience; the campaign is not described as requiring four players to start.
