Yes—the eFootball base game is free to download on the platforms listed by KONAMI. But it is free-to-play, not a game where every item is free: optional purchases include eFootball Coins and other in-game content. You will also need a compatible device and an internet connection for some versions or play.
What “free” means in eFootball
KONAMI describes eFootball as “Free-to-play (in-game purchases available)” on its official product overview. Its current platform list includes PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Xbox on PC, Steam, iOS, and Android. The base game does not have a purchase price in that official listing.

As one storefront example, the US PlayStation Store listing for the PS5 version labels it “Free” and says “In-game purchases optional.” That listing reflects the US store and PS5; it does not establish the terms for every platform or country. Check the store page for your platform and region before downloading.
What can cost money?
In Dream Team, players build a squad by signing players and managers. KONAMI’s Dream Team guide describes eFootball Coins as a currency that can be used to sign players and buy in-game items. Coins can be acquired in-game or through the Shop, so spending is available but is not required simply to get the base game.

The guide also describes GP and eFootball Points, along with player-signing routes such as the Standard Player List, Special Player List, Standard Player Tickets, and Packs. The Special Player List may not be available in some countries or regions. The guide does not establish that every item or a particular player can be obtained free, nor does it establish current prices or whether purchases create a competitive advantage.
Can you earn rewards without paying?
Yes. KONAMI’s guide names login bonuses, Match Pass rewards for completing matches, and Objectives as ways to receive rewards. It also says GP can be earned by meeting in-game conditions, and eFootball Points can come from in-game activity and out-of-game campaigns.
These are free reward routes, not a guarantee that every desired player or item will be available without spending. What you can earn depends on the rewards and events available in the game.

Free download does not mean the game has no access requirements. KONAMI lists broadband internet among the PC minimum requirements, and Apple’s US App Store listing says the iOS version requires an internet connection. The US PS5 PlayStation Store listing labels online play optional, but that one regional listing should not be taken as a rule for every platform, online mode, or country.

Requirements vary by device and can change. KONAMI’s overview currently lists these minimum PC requirements:
- 64-bit system and Windows 11
- 8 GB RAM
- 100 GB available storage
- Broadband internet connection
Its mobile requirements shown on the same page include Android 7.0 or later with at least 2 GB RAM, or a device compatible with iOS/iPadOS 15 or later. KONAMI cautions that meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee smooth performance. Check its current requirements for your device before installing.
For iOS specifically, Apple’s US App Store listing, accessed in 2026, gives approximately 3.5 GB of free storage for download and installation. That figure and compatible software versions can change with updates; consult the listing for the current requirement.
