That makes it an attractive Xbox choice—not a proven technical winner. What comes with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Xbox?
The Xbox release is FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE, not just the original remake on its own. Square Enix and the Xbox Store list the full game together with FF7R EPISODE INTERmission, a Yuffie-led story episode. The Xbox Store lists the release date as January 22, 2026.

Square Enix lists Intergrade on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC, as well as PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. Its official edition page describes Digital Deluxe as adding a digital artbook and mini soundtrack. The Xbox listing also identifies a Digital Content Viewer. Check the live store listing for current edition contents and prices, which can vary by region and change over time.
Why Xbox can be the best version for Xbox players
The strongest case is convenience within the Xbox ecosystem. The Xbox Store lists Xbox Play Anywhere, Xbox cloud saves and Xbox Cloud Gaming, alongside optimization for Xbox Series X|S. Those features can make the Xbox edition especially appealing if you already play across Xbox devices or use the platform’s cloud services. They are ecosystem features, not evidence of superior graphics or performance.

Square Enix’s availability announcement also says a free demo is available on all platforms and that demo save data can carry into the full game. Try the demo on your intended platform before buying if you want to check how the game feels on your setup.
Is Xbox technically better than PS5, PC or Switch 2?
That has not been established by the official product information. The pages confirm availability, editions and listed features, but do not provide controlled cross-platform tests, comparable resolution modes or independent side-by-side image-quality results. It would be inaccurate to call Xbox definitively the fastest, sharpest or most stable version on that basis.
Choose based on what matters to you: Xbox features and your existing library, another platform’s hardware and services, or Switch 2’s portable play. If graphics or frame rate are the deciding factor, look for platform-specific testing rather than treating a store feature list as a benchmark.

What Streamlined Progression changes
Xbox players can use optional Streamlined Progression settings for a more forgiving, story-focused run. Square Enix says the settings include unlimited HP and MP, full ATB and Limit gauges, 9,999 damage and easier weapon ability acquisition. These options substantially reduce the challenge; they are a convenience for players who want to focus on the story, not an Xbox-exclusive advantage. Square Enix says the feature is also available by patch on PS5 and PC.

Which Xbox edition should you choose?
The Xbox Store listing showed Standard at $39.99 and Digital Deluxe at $59.99 when checked in 2026; prices are region-specific and may change. Deluxe is for players who want the listed digital extras as well as the game. Confirm the current price and contents in your region before purchase.
The store also listed a Trilogy Edition preorder at $84.99 or more, bundling Intergrade with Rebirth and Revelation. At the time Square Enix announced the next entry, FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION was planned for April 8, 2027 on PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC. A preorder bundle is not the same as having all three games available immediately; check the listing for delivery and release details.

Get Intergrade on Xbox if you want the complete remake-and-Yuffie package in the Xbox ecosystem and value its listed Play Anywhere and cloud features. If you are choosing solely for technical performance, the evidence here does not identify a winner; compare reliable platform-specific tests and your own hardware before deciding.
