Yes. Forever Skies is available on Xbox Series X|S; Microsoft lists its Xbox release date as July 27, 2026. You can play solo or team up online with up to three other players, but cross-play with friends on PC or PlayStation is not supported.
What is Forever Skies?
Forever Skies is a first-person survival game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth. You build, fly, upgrade and customize a high-tech airship while scavenging and exploring the ruined world. It supports single-player and online co-op for up to four players total. Microsoft’s Xbox Store listing identifies the Xbox Series X|S version as optimized for the console family.

Can Xbox players play with friends on PC or PlayStation?
No. Developer-published Forever Skies FAQ, last updated July 27, 2026, states: “At present, Forever Skies doesn’t have cross-play.” Xbox players therefore cannot join PC or PlayStation players in co-op.
Xbox Play Anywhere is listed for the game, but it is not cross-play: it does not mean players on different platforms can join the same multiplayer session. The Xbox listing also names PC and handheld play; check the listing for current details on supported access.

What do you need for online co-op on Xbox?
Online multiplayer on console requires Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate, sold separately. The Xbox Store listing confirms single-player mode, so you can also play without online co-op.
Which Xbox edition should you choose?
The Xbox Store lists Standard and Deluxe editions. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game and Supporter Pack. Prices vary by region and can change, so check the current Xbox Store listing for available editions and prices. The listing does not establish that the game is included with Game Pass; its Game Pass note concerns the subscription required for online multiplayer.

What arrived with the Xbox release?
The Xbox launch coincided with The Final Echoes update. Xbox Wire says it added an airship power-management system, a reworked damage system, new enemies and locations, custom difficulty settings, and “more than 30 new side quests.” Xbox Wire’s launch article also confirms solo play and online co-op for up to four people.
