As of October 8, 2026, Forza Horizon 6 is listed as included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Playground Games also said the Standard Edition was included with PC Game Pass at launch. Game Pass Essential and Premium subscribers can stream the game only if they buy it; cloud-play eligibility does not mean the game is included in those plans’ downloadable libraries. Check your local Xbox listing for current entitlements.
Which Game Pass plans include Forza Horizon 6?
When the game launched on May 19, 2026, Playground Games said its Standard Edition was included at no additional cost for active Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Xbox’s current US Standard Edition listing labels it “Included in Ultimate.” The current listing and the launch announcement therefore do not describe the plans in exactly the same way: the launch announcement names PC Game Pass, while the current US store page explicitly names Ultimate. Plan names, catalog availability, and regional benefits can change, so check the live listing in your region before subscribing or renewing.
Playground Games’ launch announcement and Xbox’s Standard Edition listing are the relevant official references.
Can I play Forza Horizon 6 with Game Pass Essential or Premium?
Xbox’s US listing says the game is cloud playable with Essential, Premium, or Ultimate, but Essential and Premium subscribers must purchase the game to stream it. That is a cloud-streaming option for people who own the game, not an inclusion of the game in those plans’ downloadable libraries.

Do I need Ultimate to play Forza Horizon 6 on Xbox?
Not necessarily. The game is sold separately, so you can purchase it rather than rely on a Game Pass game entitlement. The Standard Edition is also listed as included with Ultimate. The exact entitlement depends on your plan and region; check the store listing before making a decision.

Xbox describes the title as Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning an eligible Xbox Store purchase can be played on Xbox console and PC. The game is also available on Steam, and Playground Games documented Xbox Cloud Gaming on supported devices. Those routes are not interchangeable: check the store and platform where you intend to play, since a Game Pass entitlement or Xbox Store purchase does not itself establish access through another storefront.

What platforms can I use?
