Yes—Warner Bros. Discovery has referred to a “second installment of Hogwarts Legacy” in its games pipeline. That is a confirmation that a sequel is being pursued, not an announcement of its release date, platforms, final title, or gameplay. The “top priority” comment came earlier: WBD CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels made it at a 2024 conference, describing a successor as “one of the biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road.”
What Warner Bros.’ CFO said
At Bank of America’s 2024 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference, WBD CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels said: “Obviously, a successor to ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ is one of the biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road.” The wording describes the company’s strategic priority at that time; it is not a release-window announcement. The quotation was reproduced in conference coverage.

Is Hogwarts Legacy 2 confirmed?
Warner Bros. Discovery’s later shareholder communication referred to an expanding games pipeline “including the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy,” according to reports on the communication. That is the more recent confirmation that a sequel is in development or otherwise being pursued as part of the pipeline. It does not amount to a retail announcement or provide a launch schedule.

Why the sequel matters to Warner Bros.
The original Hogwarts Legacy sold more than 22 million copies by the end of 2023, including about 2 million during that December’s holiday season, figures attributed to Warner Bros. in later coverage. Those are historical sales figures, not a current lifetime total. See the reported sales context.
