Eligibility generally depends on owning and playing a qualifying premium Call of Duty title under Activision’s account and platform rules. Activision also describes eligibility for active Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or PC subscribers who played a qualifying game through Game Pass. What you get by preordering, and what waiting gives up
Campaign access before launch
Digital Standard and Vault preorders provide Campaign Early Access beginning October 16, 2026. That is one week before the scheduled worldwide launch on October 23; it is early access to the campaign, not the entire game. Activision’s Campaign Early Access announcement.

Those benefits can make a preorder worthwhile to someone who will use them, but they do not indicate whether or when a later sale will happen.
Physical copies and the Vault trade-off
Physical Standard editions are available through select retailers for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Activision says a physical Switch 2 preorder is expected later in 2026; availability and timing are therefore not established here. There is no physical PC version, and Vault is digital-only.
