Bungie’s current known-issues page does not list Lord of Wolves as disabled, but that page is not a complete inventory of every issue. If the Exotic is unavailable to you, check Bungie’s Disabled Items information and @BungieHelp, then verify that your account has the required game license. Bungie identifies disablement and missing licenses as general possibilities; neither is confirmed as the cause for any specific player. Status checked October 8, 2026.
Is Lord of Wolves disabled in Destiny 2?
No current Lord of Wolves disablement was identified on Bungie’s known-issues page as checked October 8, 2026. Bungie describes that page as targeted rather than exhaustive, so its lack of a listing is not a guarantee that the weapon is available in every activity or for every account. For a time-sensitive answer, check Bungie’s live Disabled Items information and @BungieHelp.

Why can’t I use Lord of Wolves?
Bungie’s support guidance names two general explanations for an unavailable item: it may have been intentionally disabled, or the player may not have the game license required to access it. The guidance does not identify the cause in an individual player’s case.
- Check for a disablement: Look at Bungie’s Disabled Items information and @BungieHelp for a temporary or activity-specific restriction.
- Check account access: If no disablement is reported, verify that the account you are playing on has the game license required for the item.
Is the missing hip-fire reticle a disablement?
No. Bungie’s archived Year 6 known-issues list described Lord of Wolves as “missing a hip-fire reticle.” That is a historical visual issue, not a report that the shotgun could not be used, and it does not establish its current status.

What changed in the weapon’s balance?
Bungie’s Destiny 2 Update 8.2.6 notes, published May 6, 2025, say Lord of Wolves had its hip-fire damage in PvE reduced by 30%. This was a balance adjustment, not a notice that the weapon was disabled.
