No official source reviewed confirms a Mass Effect game called Dreadnought or a March 2027 release date. BioWare’s November 7, 2025 N7 Day update says the next Mass Effect game is in development, but gives neither a title nor a release window.
What has BioWare officially confirmed?
In its November 7, 2025 N7 Day update, BioWare executive producer Mike Gamble wrote that “the next Mass Effect game is in development, and EA and BioWare remain committed to telling more stories in this universe.” The statement confirms development of another game in the franchise; it does not identify that game as Mass Effect: Dreadnought.

Has a March 2027 release date been announced?
No. Gamble’s post gives no release date or release window, so March 2027 is not confirmed by that official update. The claim that Mass Effect: Dreadnought officially releases then is unsupported by the official source reviewed.

Could the March date refer to an existing Mass Effect game?
EA lists Mass Effect: Andromeda with a release date of March 21, 2017, on its official game page. That date belongs to the earlier game and is not evidence of a 2027 launch.
#1 Best Overall

- Relive the legend of Commander Shepard in the highly acclaimed Mass Effect trilogy with the Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
- Includes single-player base content and over 40 DLC from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3, including promo weapons, armors, and packs - remastered and optimized for 4k Ultra HD.
EA’s Mass Effect catalog lists existing releases, including Mass Effect Legendary Edition and Mass Effect: Andromeda; it does not list Dreadnought. These catalog entries provide franchise context, not confirmation of the alleged title or date.
What to treat as confirmed
- Confirmed: A next Mass Effect game was in development as of BioWare’s November 7, 2025 update.
- Not confirmed by that update: The name Mass Effect: Dreadnought, a March 2027 launch, or any release window.
Because release announcements can change, look for a newer statement on official EA or BioWare channels before treating a date or title as confirmed.
