Badgermole Cub is a standout Magic: The Gathering | Avatar: The Last Airbender card, but calling it the set’s “big chase card” goes beyond what the available evidence establishes. Wizards of the Coast identifies raised-foil Avatar Aang as the set’s headliner; Badgermole Cub appears as one of the borderless Field Notes hybrid animals. Its appeal is clear, but there is no verified card-specific pull rate, price ranking, or demand data here to prove it is the biggest chase.
What Badgermole Cub is—and which version to look for
Badgermole Cub is in Magic: The Gathering | Avatar: The Last Airbender, released worldwide on November 21, 2025. The set’s code is TLA. Wizards identifies the borderless Field Notes version as card 0326 in its collecting guide. A retailer listing identifies the regular version as mythic rare TLA 0167.
Those are distinct versions, so check the card number and treatment when searching or comparing offers. The official card image gallery is the primary visual reference; Wizards notes that its gallery images are digital renderings.
What is established about the card
The retailer’s listing describes the regular card as a green 2/2 creature costing {1}{G}. Its entry ability earthbends 1, and its remaining listed text provides a mana-related ability. For exact rules wording, consult the official card gallery or the card itself rather than relying on a retailer transcription.

Why it attracts attention, and what “chase card” does not prove
Wizards describes Field Notes as a treatment that includes hybrid animals, calling them “an especially cute version of this treatment.” Badgermole Cub is among those animals, which makes it a natural card for collectors and Avatar fans to seek out. But the phrase “chase card” can mean different things: a card a fan particularly wants, a difficult pull, or one with unusually high market value. The available official material supports the first as a matter of taste; it does not establish the latter two for Badgermole Cub.
Wizards’ collecting guide names raised-foil Avatar Aang as the set’s headliner. The guide also says the Field Notes group contains eight rare and seven mythic rare cards; that is a count for the treatment group, not the odds of opening Badgermole Cub. No card-specific pull rate, dated price trend, or market-demand ranking is established here, so Badgermole Cub should not be presented as objectively the set’s biggest chase.

Can you pull Badgermole Cub from a booster?
Yes, the Field Notes treatment can appear in both Play Boosters and Collector Boosters, in nonfoil and traditional foil. That tells you where the treatment may appear, not how likely Badgermole Cub is to appear in any particular pack. Neither booster guarantees this card.
Wizards says Play Booster boxes contain 30 Play Boosters and Collector Booster boxes contain 12 Collector Boosters. Those box contents do not translate into a known number of Badgermole Cub copies: no card-specific odds are established here. The products and treatments are described in Wizards’ collecting guide.
