There is no verified announcement that the new Need for Speed Mobile is coming to iPhone or iPad later this year. The official EA page available for the franchise does not give a release date or confirm iOS or iPadOS support. An App Store result for Need for Speed No Limits is for a separate, existing game—not confirmation of a release for the new title.
What has EA confirmed about an iOS or iPad release?
The EA Need for Speed page surfaced for this claim leads to the franchise landing page. It does not announce a new mobile release, set a date, or identify iPhone or iPad as platforms for the game called Need for Speed Mobile. On the official evidence available, “later this year” is unconfirmed.
An EA forum thread also does not establish a current launch plan: an older staff reply said EA had no information to share at that time. That reply is not a present-day release announcement.
Is Need for Speed No Limits the same game?
No. Need for Speed No Limits is an existing mobile game with its own US App Store listing. Its availability on Apple devices does not show that a separate game called Need for Speed Mobile is coming to those devices.

The listing for No Limits describes a free download with in-app purchases and says a persistent internet connection is required. It specifies iOS 15.0 or later for iPhone and iPadOS 15.0 or later for iPad. Those details apply only to No Limits; they are not requirements for the unconfirmed title.
EA says No Limits was built exclusively for mobile and developed by its Firemonkeys studio in Melbourne, Australia. That information describes the existing game and does not establish the new title’s developer or platform plans.

What details about the new game remain unconfirmed?
The available official information does not establish a release date, minimum iOS or iPadOS version, supported devices, regional rollout, or controller support for Need for Speed Mobile. Do not use No Limits’s requirements or features to fill those gaps.
Until EA or an official store listing identifies the new game and its platforms, treat claims that it will launch on iPhone or iPad later this year as unverified. Check the game’s official EA announcements or its own App Store listing for confirmation; a listing for No Limits is not that confirmation.
