Yes—“Nitro Type 2.0” is real as the title of an official Nitro Type update announcement. But the available evidence does not establish a separate current game called Nitro Type 2.
What is Nitro Type 2.0?
Nitro Type is an online competitive typing game, as described on its official homepage. An official Nitro Type news page is titled “Nitro Type 2.0 Is Here!”, and a separate official update page is titled “Teams 2.0 Has Launched!” Those titles establish that Nitro Type used “2.0” for update announcements; they do not, by themselves, establish a separate sequel.
The official announcement pages currently show a loading shell rather than their full text. Their exact release date and feature details therefore cannot be confirmed from the announcement content available here.
Is there a separate game called Nitro Type 2?
No separate current product by that name is established by the available evidence. The distinction is between an official historical update label—“Nitro Type 2.0”—and a standalone game or sequel. The official homepage presents Nitro Type as the competitive typing game, while the official news-page titles refer to updates.

Was Nitro Type 2.0 released in 2015?
A secondary FAQ search result gives April 28, 2015 as the date of the update, but the text of the official announcement could not be retrieved to verify that date. Treat it as an unconfirmed secondary-source date, not a confirmed launch date.
A community post published March 21, 2018 links to the official Nitro Type 2.0 and Teams 2.0 announcements. That supports that the announcement pages existed and were being referenced as updates, but it does not verify their original publication dates or explain their contents.
