Can you still claim River City Girls for free?
Epic’s listing showed the Windows base game for sale in the US when checked on October 8, 2026. The claim that it is currently free appears to refer to a past or stale promotion. The dates, regional availability, and terms of that specific earlier offer have not been established, so don’t assume it was available everywhere or during the same period in every region.
Epic says its free promotions are available for a limited time and must be claimed before the offer expires. The expired promotion itself cannot be claimed later; Epic recommends checking for future offers. See Epic’s guidance on missed free promotions and its free-games page.
How Epic free-game claims work
Epic’s weekly-game support page says new offers arrive on Thursdays at 8 a.m. Pacific Time and last seven days. If you claim a game successfully during its offer period, it remains in your Epic Games library. Epic also says you need an Epic account with two-factor authentication enabled to claim a weekly free game. Check the weekly free-game support page for the current process and terms.
