Is Sniper Elite 4 a Co-op Game? Player Counts and Modes Explained

Yes. Sniper Elite 4 supports two-player co-op throughout its story campaign. It also has separate co-op modes: Overwatch for two players and Survival for two to four. The campaign is not a four-player mode.

How many players can play Sniper Elite 4 co-op?

What are the co-op modes?

Campaign: play the story with one partner

The campaign is the option for two players who want to progress through the story together. PlayStation lists the campaign as supporting one to two players, while Xbox says the entire campaign can be played online with another player.

Overwatch: two different roles

Overwatch pairs two players in distinct roles. The Sniper handles the rifle, while the Operative uses an SMG and binoculars to tag enemies for the Sniper. It is a separate co-op mode, not the four-player campaign.

Survival: up to four players

Survival is the mode to choose for a group of three or four. Players work together to defend command posts as enemy waves attack.

Can four people play the campaign together?

No. The official PlayStation listing distinguishes a campaign for one to two players from dedicated co-op for two to four. The larger count applies to dedicated co-op, such as Survival; it does not mean four players can join the story campaign.

Does Sniper Elite 4 support cross-play?

Official listings describe co-op on PlayStation, Xbox and Steam, and the PC manual documents the modes. Those sources do not establish whether players on different platforms can play together, so cross-play support cannot be confirmed from them. Store information may also vary by region.
