Yes. Xbox still lists State of Decay 3 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC, with a 2027 release window. The latest update also says the game will launch day one on Game Pass, despite Undead Labs’ transition to new ownership and a new publisher.
What the ownership and publisher change means
On July 6, 2026, Xbox announced that Undead Labs had entered terms to join new ownership, with funding to complete and grow State of Decay 3. In the same post, Xbox said, “None of our first party publicly announced games or projects are being cancelled as part of these reductions.” That statement referred to the reductions announced at the time; it was not a permanent guarantee about every future change.
