The advertised 16% discount was part of a Neowin deal published February 10, 2026—not a confirmed live offer. It listed a one-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate code for $24.99, compared with its stated $29.99 regular price. As of October 8, 2026, current availability of that code and promotion is not established. Microsoft’s US direct listing currently shows Ultimate at $22.99 per month.
What the February deal offered
Neowin’s February 10, 2026 listing advertised an emailed digital code for one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at $24.99. The article described that as $5 off, or 16%, against its stated $29.99 comparison price. That comparison price is historical and should not be read as Microsoft’s current US monthly price.

The listing said the deal was limited to the United States and worked with Microsoft accounts in the USA. It also stated that the code had to be redeemed within seven days of purchase, purchases became final after code delivery, and buyers could purchase and stack up to three codes for three months. These were terms presented in that dated listing; current availability, code validity, and compatibility with an existing subscription have not been established. Read Neowin’s deal listing.
How the advertised price compares with Microsoft’s current listing
Microsoft’s US Xbox store listing showed Ultimate at $22.99 per month when accessed on October 8, 2026. That is a direct monthly subscription price, not evidence that the third-party code remains for sale or has the same renewal and redemption terms. Check the price and terms shown at checkout before buying. See Microsoft’s US Xbox Game Pass Ultimate listing.

What Ultimate includes—and what can change
Microsoft currently describes Ultimate as a subscription with 500+ games, selected games available on day one, EA Play, Fortnite Crew, Ubisoft+ Classics, online console multiplayer, in-game benefits, Rewards, and cloud play on supported devices. Microsoft qualifies these descriptions: selected games are included, Call of Duty titles are excluded from the day-one claim, and availability can vary over time, region, plan, and platform. Consult Microsoft’s current plan comparison for present details.
The historical deal listing named Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows as access options, and promoted catalog access, day-one releases, multiplayer, discounts, perks, cloud gaming, and EA Play. Those details describe the listing, not a guarantee that every game or feature is available to every subscriber today.

Before buying a third-party code
Because the offer’s current status and redemption compatibility are unconfirmed, verify these points with the seller before paying:
- Whether the code is actually available at checkout, and the final price compared with Microsoft’s current direct price.
- Which country and Microsoft account region can redeem it.
- The exact redemption deadline and the seller’s refund or final-sale terms.
- Whether the code can be applied to your account and whether multiple codes can still be stacked, especially if you already have an active subscription.
- Which subscription features and supported devices matter to you; game availability varies by region, plan, platform, and time.
Does Xbox Game Pass Ultimate renew automatically?
Microsoft says its direct Ultimate subscription continues automatically unless cancelled through the Microsoft Account. That statement applies to Microsoft’s listed subscription; it does not establish how the historical third-party prepaid code would behave after its one-month term. Review Microsoft’s subscription listing and account terms.
