Is the DJI Mini 3 actually 36% off for Prime Day?
That specific discount is not established by the available current pricing information. DJI’s US store page lists configurations and prices, but does not confirm an Amazon offer. A discount also depends on the reference price and the exact package being compared, so the percentage alone is not enough to verify a deal.
Two dated reports show why an old promotion should not be treated as a current price: Digital Camera World reported a UK £219 early Prime Day offer on June 16, 2026, while Tom’s Guide reported a US $269 offer at 35% off on June 26, 2026. Neither report verifies a current 36% offer; the prices concern different markets and dates.
What to verify on a live listing
- Confirm it is the DJI Mini 3, not the Mini 3 Pro or another model.
- Check the seller, stock status, current price and the reference price used to calculate the discount.
- Compare like-for-like packages: controller, number of batteries and included accessories can differ.
- Check the delivery region and return terms before treating a displayed price as available to you.

Package contents matter as much as the headline price: verify batteries and accessories on the exact listing rather than assuming that a similarly named bundle matches DJI’s store package.
Is the Mini 3 a good drone for beginners?
DJI describes the Mini 3 as beginner-friendly and easy to fly and use. That is the manufacturer’s characterization, not an independent flight assessment. It is a compact camera drone with a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, 4K/30fps video, HDR video and True Vertical Shooting, according to DJI’s product page and specifications.

How long can the DJI Mini 3 fly?
DJI specifies a maximum of 38 minutes with the standard Intelligent Flight Battery and up to 51 minutes with the separately sold Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, available only in selected countries and regions. These are manufacturer maximums measured under controlled test conditions, not expected everyday flight times. DJI notes that actual results vary with environment, use and firmware.

The Plus battery changes the weight as well as the flight-time figure: DJI lists the aircraft at about 290 g with that battery, compared with 248 g in its standard-weight configuration.

DJI’s published standard takeoff weight is 248 g, measured with the standard battery, propellers and a microSD card. With the Battery Plus, the aircraft weighs about 290 g. Weight thresholds and drone rules vary by location and configuration, so being under 249 g in the standard setup does not mean the aircraft is exempt from every local requirement. Check the rules where you will fly.
