Yes—Activision announced fixes for the known Golden Enigma tracking issue. The initial fix covered non-blueprint weapons; a later update addressed Blueprint weapons and Custom Mods. That history does not guarantee every challenge will track correctly today, but Golden Enigma was not on Activision’s Known Issues page dated August 7, 2026.
What Activision fixed, and when
Activision’s MWIII launch patch notes said in November 2023 that it had fixed Golden Enigma and Golden Ivory completion for non-blueprint weapons. The notes also said the Blueprint weapon issue was still under investigation at that point.
In December 2023, the Season 1 patch notes announced a fix for Blueprint weapons and Custom Mods. Activision therefore documented fixes in stages, rather than one fix that covered every weapon configuration from the start.
Check the unlock requirements before treating it as a bug
Golden Enigma is a Zombies Completionist camo for MWIII weapons. According to the official camo guide, its unlock sequence is:

- Complete all four Zombie Base Camo Challenges for the specific MWIII weapon.
- Complete that same weapon’s Golden Ivory Camo Challenge.
Golden Ivory usually requires a specified number of Zombie kills and a successful extraction with the weapon in one deployment. The kill requirement varies, so check the exact challenge shown in-game for your weapon.

- Confirm all four base camo challenges are complete for the same weapon.
- Confirm Golden Ivory is unlocked and its exact in-game challenge requirements have been met.
- Make sure the deployment ended with a successful extraction.
- If the challenge is complete but the camo or later progression does not update, consider whether the issue is a display/progression delay or a prerequisite that did not register. These checks follow the official unlock sequence; they are not guaranteed workarounds.
Activision’s MWIII Known Issues page, dated August 7, 2026, did not list Golden Enigma. Activision describes the page as a list of identified or reported issues under investigation or scheduled to be fixed, and asks players to report issues that are absent. Its omission means the issue was not listed there on that date; it does not rule out an unlisted or individual tracking problem.
