What is known about Merry Mint Axe codes?
The Merry Mint Axe—often called the Minty Axe—is a Fortnite cosmetic that was distributed through a promotional code. Target customer service answered on its Minty Legends Pack listing that the item was “no longer available as of 2023.” That is retailer support information, not an Epic statement confirming that every previously issued code has expired or stopped working.

Epic’s general Fortnite retail-pack guidance says codes can be redeemed if they are valid and have not already been redeemed. The page discusses retail packs such as Deep Freeze and Rogue Spider; it does not specifically name the Merry Mint Axe promotion. That general rule therefore does not establish that a Minty code will work today.
How to check a specific Minty Axe code
- Sign in to the Epic Games account that should receive the cosmetic. Check the account carefully before proceeding; the code redemption applies to the signed-in account.
- Use Epic’s code redemption instructions to enter the retail code through the Epic Games Launcher or Epic Games Store website.
- Select Redeem. Epic’s response is the practical check for that particular code: a code may be rejected if it is invalid or has already been redeemed.
Epic’s instructions explain how to submit a retail code; they do not verify a Minty Axe code in advance. The exact status of an unused code remains unknown until Epic’s system accepts or rejects it.

Does the Minty Legends Pack include the Axe?
No. Best Buy’s Minty Legends Pack listing says in its Q&A that the pack does not include the Minty Axe. It is a separate set of cosmetics, not a way to obtain the Merry Mint Axe.
