Riot says its October 6, 2026 memory-access change does not itself result in bans. That does not mean every version or feature of Valorant Tracker is guaranteed safe: Riot prohibits unauthorized programs that interact with its services, and its VALORANT policy rejects certain features that give players an unfair or immediate in-game advantage. The current Tracker build’s approval and data access are not verified by the sources available here.
What Riot’s October 2026 change means
On October 6, 2026, Riot began proactively blocking unknown third-party applications from accessing game memory by default, including in VALORANT. Riot says known and currently approved tools have until April 2027 to move affected features to official APIs, request new API data, or discontinue features without a suitable alternative. That separates two issues: an app or feature may stop working because access is blocked, while Riot’s existing rules about unauthorized or unfair third-party programs still apply. A block is not itself a ban; trying to bypass it or regain access through an unauthorized method is not a safe workaround.
What kinds of VALORANT apps Riot accepts or rejects
Riot’s VALORANT developer policy describes acceptable categories, but those examples do not certify a particular product or build. Apps must ask players to opt in to personal-data sharing through Riot Sign On. Riot’s VALORANT developer policy

Separately, Riot says products serving VALORANT players must be registered, whether or not they use documented APIs. Its developer-relations policy also bars unfair advantages and unofficial substitutes for the ranked ladder, such as an MMR/ELO calculator. Why unauthorized data access matters
Riot’s Terms of Service prohibit unauthorized third-party programs that interact with Riot Services, including programs that intercept or redirect communications or collect information by reading memory used by Riot Services. Riot Support warns that unauthorized apps interacting improperly can flag an account for suspicious behavior; its examples of malicious software include bots and scripts. Riot’s guidance says approved apps built using the official Riot API should rarely cause an issue. That is general guidance, not a guarantee for every app, feature, or version.

A Tracker Network staff reply in its community forum on June 23, 2022 said the company’s website and app followed Riot’s rules and were safe at that time, and that it would change its products if Riot required it. That is a dated statement from the developer, not a current Riot approval decision or confirmation of how the app accesses data today. Tracker Network community forum statement

The Riot policy pages reviewed do not name Valorant Tracker. They therefore do not establish whether the current Tracker website, desktop app, or any specific feature is approved, accesses game memory, or continues to work after October 6, 2026.

How to check before using a tracker
- Identify the exact product and build. A website, desktop application, and mobile app may work differently; check the developer’s latest update for the version you intend to use.
- Check how it gets data. Look for a clear explanation of official Riot API use and account linking. Do not treat older assurances or a platform’s general policy as proof about a new feature.
- Review what its features reveal and when. Pre-match opponent scouting and overlays that immediately direct in-game decisions are key policy boundaries in Riot’s VALORANT guidance.
- Use Riot’s current policy as the standard. If the client blocks a tool, stop using it rather than attempting to bypass the block or access game data another unauthorized way.
