Yes. To reach morning, use an Enchanted Sundial to fast-forward to dawn at 4:30 AM. In Journey Mode, you can set the time to dawn directly. A bed is another option, but it only makes time pass faster rather than jumping straight to morning.
Ways to make it day in Terraria
| Method | What it does | Availability or restriction |
|---|---|---|
| Enchanted Sundial | Fast-forwards time to dawn at 4:30 AM. | Hardmode item; reusable once every seven in-game days. Obtained from Pearlwood, Mythril, and Titanium Crates at different drop rates. Official Terraria Wiki |
| Journey Mode time controls | Lets you choose the dawn preset or adjust and freeze time. | Available in Journey Mode’s Power Menu. Presets also include noon, dusk, and midnight. Official Terraria Wiki |
| Bed | Makes time pass five times faster; it does not immediately change the clock to morning. | Cannot speed up time during events or while a boss is alive, among other restrictions. In multiplayer, all players must be in bed. Official Terraria Wiki |
Using an Enchanted Sundial
Activate the Sundial and it speeds up the clock until dawn, which begins at 4:30 AM. It does not instantly set the time to morning. The item’s tooltip describes it as allowing time to fast-forward to dawn one day per week. Its seven-day cooldown makes it useful for occasional waits, but not for skipping every night.

The Sundial is a Hardmode item found in Pearlwood, Mythril, and Titanium Crates, with different drop rates. Fishing for crates is therefore one way to obtain it, but it may take time to find one.
Setting dawn in Journey Mode
Open the Power Menu and use its time controls to choose dawn. Unlike the Sundial, Journey Mode’s controls can set time directly; they can also adjust or freeze time. Dawn is one of the available presets, alongside noon, dusk, and midnight.

Using a bed to wait faster
Sleeping in a bed accelerates time to five times its normal speed. This is faster waiting, not a direct jump to dawn. In multiplayer, every player must be in bed for time to accelerate. Sleeping also cannot speed time during events or while a boss is alive, among other restrictions.
Want evening instead? Use an Enchanted Moondial
The Enchanted Moondial advances time to dusk at 7:30 PM, not to morning. It is made by throwing an Enchanted Sundial into Shimmer and has its own seven-in-game-day cooldown. Official Terraria Wiki
