Truckful looks like a natural fit for relaxed, controller-led Steam Deck play: drive a pickup, deliver goods to villagers, upgrade your truck and uncover a mystery in the forest. MythicOwl says it tested the game extensively on Steam Deck and saw smooth performance in most of its testing. But Steam currently lists compatibility as Unknown, so that developer report is not the same as an official Steam Deck Verified rating.
What do you do in Truckful?
Truckful is a single-player delivery adventure from MythicOwl. Its main loop is built around driving a pickup through the countryside, packing its cargo bed, completing errands and quests for villagers, and improving or customizing your vehicle. Those jobs lead into a larger mystery connected to an ancient forest. Steam’s listing describes the game as a car-delivery adventure with physics-based driving and cargo.

Why the loop may suit handheld play
Deliveries and exploration give the game a clear, task-based rhythm rather than a focus on competitive play. Steam lists full controller support and recommends playing with a controller, a useful match for the Deck’s built-in controls. The listing also indicates 30 supported interface and subtitle languages, with no full-audio languages listed.
Is Truckful Steam Deck Verified?
No official Verified status is established by the current Steam listing. Steam currently labels Truckful’s Steam Deck compatibility as Unknown. Valve explains that its compatibility details are intended to inform play and purchase decisions, and that the review process is ongoing. Valve’s Steam Deck Verified page describes that program; an unknown listing should not be presented as a Verified rating.

What does the developer say about Steam Deck performance?
In a Steam Community update dated October 6, 2026, MythicOwl said it had extensively tested Truckful on Steam Deck and reported a steady 60 fps on high settings through most of its testing. The developers’ FAQ also says the game was optimized for Linux-based handhelds and lower-end hardware, including Steam Deck, and describes performance as “+40/60fps during most scenes.” These are developer-reported results, not independent measurements or a guarantee for every scene, settings combination or Deck configuration. Read the developers’ Steam Deck support update and FAQ.
The practical takeaway is encouraging but qualified: MythicOwl reports that the game ran smoothly for most of its Steam Deck testing, while Valve’s formal compatibility review remains a separate matter. The Unknown label is the status shown on Steam at the time of this article; store compatibility and performance may change after release or updates.

Is Truckful cozy, or is it a horror game?
The developers characterize most of Truckful as cozy, with scenic drives and friendly villagers, but say the experience also includes difficult terrain, physics-driven cargo challenges, supernatural encounters and environmental hazards. Their FAQ describes those encounters as situations to evade, rather than a shift into demanding survival horror. That is the developers’ description of the intended tone, not an independent assessment of how tense the finished game feels.
Release details and where to check
Steam lists October 9, 2026 as the release date and credits MythicOwl as developer, with MythicOwl and Pocketpair Publishing as publishers. Check the Steam product listing for the current compatibility label and game details before purchase.
