The official WARDOGS Steam community page announced Season 2 for October 15, 2026. A PC Gamer report describes the event as the first progression wipe and says every player returns to level 1. The reset’s boundaries are not fully documented
The available official preview and the report establish the return to level 1, but they do not provide a complete reset-and-carryover matrix. They do not conclusively say whether banked cash, equipment unlocks, challenges, cosmetics, achievements or other account fields are erased, preserved or converted. It would be inaccurate to claim that every unlock disappears, and it would be equally inaccurate to promise that any particular item survives without a final developer statement.
How to think about a level reset
A level reset changes the value of time spent progressing before the wipe. If your main goal is to accumulate permanent levels or unlocks, you should assume that at least the reported level total will not be a lasting record. - You can tolerate balance changes, unfinished systems and a progression reset while the game is in Early Access.
It is a weak fit if permanence is your priority

- A return to level 1 would make earlier progression feel wasted to you.

Wait when the wipe details determine your decision
Waiting is rational if you need to know exactly what Season 2 preserves. The announced return to level 1 is material, and the unresolved treatment of cash, unlocks and other account state can change the value proposition for a progression-minded buyer. The most useful checkpoint is the final Season 2 documentation, not speculation based on the phrase “wipe.”
