He is not an automatic top-tier pick, and his strongest late-game niche depends on costly Ultra Talents.
Which Zeus does the question mean?
Zeus refers to Thunder God Zeus, Uber Rare Cat Unit #257. His forms are Thunder God Zeus, The Majestic Zeus, and Almighty Zeus. PONOS lists the first two in its The Almighties: The Majestic Zeus event. The unit reference says he is obtained through the Rare Cat Capsule during that event; capsule availability varies, and an Uber Rare is not guaranteed from an ordinary Rare Capsule draw.
PONOS describes him as: “Long-ranged, quick and powerful Area strikes!” Its event listing says he is strong against Angels. The detailed mechanics below come from a community-maintained unit reference, rather than an official PONOS ranking.
What makes Zeus useful?
Long-range area attacks
Zeus has 480 range and area attacks, making him a backliner who can hit multiple enemies. The unit reference notes that this range lets him attack some enemies with 450–451 range without being within their reach. That advantage depends on the particular enemy and stage; range alone will not keep Zeus safe if pressure reaches him.

Angel resistance and broad damage role
His resistance to Angel enemies makes him especially useful when Angels are a major threat. He is not limited to Angel stages, though: his range, area attacks, and damage can also serve a general backline role. Whether that role earns him a lineup slot depends on what other attackers you have and what the stage demands.
What are Zeus’s main weaknesses?
Limited knockbacks
The unit reference lists two knockbacks. If enemies push into Zeus’s position, he has relatively little room to recover, and stages with frequent back-and-forth movement can be especially dangerous. A frontline that holds is important to getting value from his range.

Long recharge after a KO
His listed recharge is approximately 157.87–166.67 seconds, depending on calculation conditions. If Zeus is defeated, that can leave a substantial gap before you can deploy him again. Consider whether the rest of your lineup can cover his backline role during that gap.
How strong are his stats?
These figures refer to different levels or configurations, so they should not be compared as if they described the same build.

The Battle Cats Stats page allows form, level, and treasure conditions to be selected, so its displayed values apply to the shown configuration, not every version of Zeus. The community unit reference also lists recharge at approximately 157.87–166.67 seconds, depending on calculation conditions.
Is Thunder God Zeus worth leveling or True Forming?
Leveling Zeus
Zeus is worth using when your lineup needs a long-range area attacker and his Angel resistance or reach fits the stage. Before committing resources, compare him with your other backliners: if another unit covers the role better, Zeus may be a lower priority for your account.

True Form: Almighty Zeus
The unit reference says Zeus evolves into The Majestic Zeus at level 10 and can become Almighty Zeus at level 30 using Catfruit and XP. It describes True Form as a health and attack increase, but characterizes the improvement as modest compared with later-game alternatives. If you need True Form to transform him into a substantially different unit, the cited assessment does not support that expectation.
Ultra Talents and the late-game niche
The unit reference identifies Ultra Talents—particularly Behemoth Slayer—as the main source of Zeus’s renewed late-game relevance. This is a specific investment case, not a blanket recommendation: weigh the cost against the stages you play and the other units competing for those resources.

When should you bring Zeus?
- Good fit: You need a long-range area attacker, especially against Angels or enemies whose reach is below his 480 range.
- Bring a dependable frontline: Enemy pressure or repeated movement can expose his two-knockback weakness.
- Plan for a KO: His long recharge makes it useful to have other units that can cover the backline role.
- Consider deeper investment selectively: Ultra Talents may make sense if you specifically want the Behemoth Slayer application and can afford the investment.
- Keep True Form in perspective: The community reference calls its improvement modest, so weigh the cost against your alternatives.
Verdict
Thunder God Zeus is a solid, situational Uber—not a universal carry or an automatic top-tier choice. His range, area attacks, and Angel resistance can make him a strong addition when the matchup fits. His limited knockbacks and long return time after defeat are meaningful drawbacks, while Ultra Talents offer a more specialized late-game reason to invest.
