AMD announced launch SEPs of $549 for the Radeon RX 9070 and $599 for the RX 9070 XT on February 28, 2025. The $549 figure applies only to the RX 9070; the XT launched $50 higher. These are historical U.S. launch prices, not guaranteed current prices or prices for every partner model.
RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT launch prices
AMD said RX 9000-series cards would be available through board partners beginning March 6, 2025. The announcement did not guarantee that every partner version would sell at the launch SEP. Retail pricing can vary by model, seller, location, and time.

What the launch prices do—and do not—tell buyers
The RX 9070 XT’s launch SEP was $50 above the RX 9070’s, while both cards were listed with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory. AMD’s figures provide a clear launch-price and specification comparison, but they are not a current retail quote or a substitute for independent benchmark results.

Prices can differ between partner cards and retailers, and launch SEPs should not be mistaken for a promise that every model will be available at that amount. As one dated U.S. market observation, TechSpot recorded an RX 9070 XT listing price of $799 on October 5, 2026, based on Newegg and other major retailers. That snapshot does not establish the RX 9070’s price, universal availability, or prices in other markets.
