Jin Dahaad is associated with the Iceshard Cliffs. Mobalytics places its arena at the cliffs’ summit, and the Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance Database lists the Iceshard Cliffs as its locale. The available sources do not confirm current quest rotation or event availability, so check the in-game quest list and map for access.

What is Jin Dahaad weak to?
Use Fire-element damage if you can. The Ascendance Database marks Fire as Jin Dahaad’s only elemental weakness, and both Mobalytics and Icy Veins recommend Fire. The sources do not establish a required weapon model or exact skill threshold.
What to bring before the hunt

How to fight Jin Dahaad
Use the hind legs to build an opening
Stay near the hind legs when you can safely reach them. Icy Veins recommends attacking there to pursue a knockdown, while PC Gamer cautions against lingering by the head, where broad attacks and belly flops make the position dangerous. This is a positioning approach, not a guarantee that every weapon or attack will produce the same opening.
Change targets when Jin Dahaad falls
When Jin Dahaad collapses, Icy Veins recommends moving your attacks to its back ridges. Mobalytics says breaking the cooling ridges reduces the monster’s offensive capabilities, so target them when the opening allows.

Choose body parts with your weapon in mind
Mobalytics identifies the mouth and chest as body weak points and notes that the tail iceplate can be severed. However, the Ascendance Database shows that hitzones vary by body part and attack type. There is no single best target established for every weapon: consult the in-game Field Guide for hitzone values relevant to your weapon and damage type.
Use the arena’s ice to create openings
If Jin Dahaad climbs or stands on an elevated suspended section, Mobalytics says the Claw can pull the section down to create a damaging opening. The same guide describes pulling down a suspended ice chunk to use as cover during the charged explosion; the response depends on the arena setup described in that guide.

How to survive the charged ice explosion
Mobalytics describes Jin Dahaad forming an ice wall around itself before releasing a large ice explosion. As the attack charges, use the Claw to pull down a suspended ice chunk, then shelter behind that chunk when the explosion resolves. Treat this as an arena-specific cover tactic, not a universal counter for every situation.
