When did Jinx and Vi return to Fortnite?
PCGamesN reported on November 29, 2025, that both Arcane outfits were back in Fortnite after an absence it described as 1,393 days. That figure is PCGamesN’s reported interval, not an official statistic from Epic Games or Riot. The return was a later development than Merrill’s April 2025 update.
Epic’s original announcement said Arcane Vi and her accessories would enter the Item Shop on January 22, 2022, with Arcane Jinx available at the same time. Epic’s listing included individual cosmetics and bundles for both characters. Epic’s 2022 announcement is the primary source for that original release.
Why did Riot say the skins would not return?
On April 17, 2025, Riot co-founder Marc Merrill said Riot and Epic had talked about bringing the Arcane cosmetics back but had not found the right fit. GamesRadar+ quoted him as saying, “They’ve been great partners, but we haven’t been able to find the right fit to bring the Arcane skins back and it unfortunately won’t be happening in the foreseeable future.”

- GILDED TROOPER: Board the Battle Bus and drop in with Fortnite Legendary Skull Trooper (Gilded)!
- FORTNITE: 6-inch action figure is inspired by the video game Fortnite
- ARTICULATED: Feature 28 points of articulation to win any Battle Royale
- ACCESSORIES: Comes equipped with Back Bling and Harvesting Tools
- BONUS CODE: Code for virtual item included: Mecha-jolly
The statement described the situation at that time; it was not a promise that the skins would never return. Merrill also indicated Riot would share news if circumstances changed. The later return reported in November changed the practical answer to the April update. GamesRadar+’s April 17, 2025 report covers the statement.
Can you buy Jinx or Vi in Fortnite now?
The November 2025 return does not establish that either outfit is still for sale. Fortnite’s Item Shop rotates, so a past appearance cannot confirm present availability or predict the next one. Check the in-game shop before buying or making plans around a return. The official Fortnite Item Shop is also time-sensitive and may not reflect what will be available in a later rotation.

The old announcement does not establish current prices or guarantee that every item will be offered together in a future shop visit.

For the return itself, the available reporting establishes a reported shop event; it does not establish an official Epic or Riot announcement of that 2025 appearance, nor any schedule for another rotation. Treat it as a historical comeback rather than a standing availability guarantee.
