When did Toxic Commando release?
Focus Entertainment’s release announcement and official FAQ give the release date as March 12, 2026. In its announcement dated that day, the publisher said the game was available now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
That means a live countdown clock is no longer useful: the game is out. The publisher’s materials confirm the date, but do not specify a universal launch time or a regional unlock schedule.
What time did Toxic Commando unlock?
An exact game launch hour is not established by the official release-date and FAQ material. A Twitch Drops promotion for the game began at 9am UTC on March 12, 2026, according to the official promotion announcement; that was the promotion’s start, not confirmation that the game itself unlocked at 9am UTC.

For a past release, the practical check is the game’s page in the relevant storefront or console library. Unlock timing may vary by platform or region, but no specific schedule should be inferred without an announcement for that platform and region.
Where can you play it?
The publisher lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with the PC version distributed through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Focus describes Toxic Commando as a first-person cooperative shooter with crossplay between PC and consoles and teams of up to four players.

What kind of game is Toxic Commando?
In the publisher’s premise, an experiment involving Earth’s core goes wrong, unleashing the Sludge God and turning the living into undead monsters. Players become Toxic Commandos, fight with weapons and vehicles, and can team up with up to three other players. The official FAQ describes the game as drawing on John Carpenter’s 1980s filmography and the action, humor, and horror of buddy movies.

Focus announced Standard and Blood Editions for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. At the time of that announcement, pre-orders for either edition included Leon’s Secret Stash DLC; the Blood Edition included the Bloody Pass, described as two post-launch DLCs with character, weapon, and vehicle skins, plus cosmetic items. These are announcement-era details, not a guarantee of what a storefront currently offers. Check the PlayStation Store or Epic Games Store listing for current edition and add-on information.
The publisher’s FAQ listed eight missions planned for launch, in addition to a tutorial. It also said there was no offline mode at launch; anyone who needs offline play should check current game information, since that statement describes the launch version.
The FAQ lists English audio and text support for English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Czech, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Thai, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
