Complex’s November 9, 2024 report describes a surprise appearance, Spider-Verse banter and a moment when Ambersley nearly broke character.
What happened during Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2?
Complex reported that Ambersley was appearing with Cenat and his crew when Moore stopped by during the early morning on Saturday, November 9, 2024. According to the outlet, Moore introduced himself with, “Who’s this guy? I’m Miles Morales. I’m Brooklyn’s one and only Spider-Man,” prompting Ambersley to answer, “There is no fucking way.” The two then traded Spider-Verse banter, and Ambersley later said he “had to break character.” Complex’s contemporaneous report recounts the scene; it is not a full official transcript of the stream.

The report also says the group danced and sang along to “Sunflower,” the Post Malone and Swae Lee song featured on the 2018 Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack. That soundtrack connection is part of the reported moment, not evidence of a product promotion or endorsement.

NPC Miles Morales is Malik Ambersley’s performance persona. He appeared with Kai Cenat during Mafiathon 2, bringing his Miles Morales-inspired character together with Moore, the actor associated with Miles in the Spider-Verse films. The appeal of the encounter is the contrast between a creator performing a character and the actor who voices that character on screen.
