PlayStation’s US listing still identifies the game as a PS4 release playable on PS5—not a native PS5 remaster or a PC edition.
What Kai Cenat said about Bloodborne
During an August 2024 Bloodborne stream, Cenat used his audience to draw attention to requests for an updated release. PC Gamer quoted him saying, “PlayStation, FromSoft, this is one of the most highly requested games for a remaster and a PC version.” He added: “So the least that I can do is try to push the narrative for something to happen.” (PC Gamer, August 2024)

ComicBook.com also described the campaign ahead of the marathon stream as a push for a remaster or, at minimum, a PC release. These were Cenat’s advocacy and hopes, not a commitment by either company. The reports do not quantify how many players want an update, and Cenat’s description of demand should not be read as a measured statistic. (ComicBook.com, August 2024)
Is Bloodborne getting a remaster or coming to PC?
PlayStation’s official US product listing identifies Bloodborne as a PS4 game released March 24, 2015. It says the PS4 title is playable on PS5, while warning that some PS4 features may be absent. That backward compatibility does not make it a native PS5 remaster. The listing does not identify a remaster or PC edition. (PlayStation’s US product page)

#1 Best Overall
- Bloodborne Game of The Year
- If Bloodborne needs to be summed up, then the prevalent themes would be: exploring the fearsome unknown, intense life-and-death battles, and a familiar yet uniquely new online experience
- From the makers of the infamous Souls series, From Software's PS4 exclusive will attempt to take the tried and tested formula of giving players a sense of achievement to the next stage - especially when Miyazaki, the original creator of the Souls series is back at the helm
- What is promised is a harrowing experience like no other, and fans of tension, discovery, and straight up fun will sure to be excited to play Bloodborne
- If you have played the previous Souls games, then this one is a definite must buy
In February 2026, PC Gamer reported that Bluepoint had pitched a remake and that FromSoftware rejected the proposal. That is secondary reporting about a development discussion—not an official announcement of an approved remake, a future release, or a change to the platforms listed by PlayStation. (PC Gamer, February 2026)
Remaster, remake and PC port mean different things
Cenat asked for a remaster and a PC version; the later report concerned a remake pitch. Those terms describe different kinds of changes, and none of the cited coverage establishes an approved feature list, price, release window, or platform plan.

- Bloodborne - Game Of The Year Edition [PS4]
| Term | What it generally means | What is established for Bloodborne |
|---|---|---|
| Remaster | Updates presentation or performance while retaining the original game. | Cenat publicly advocated for one; no approved remaster or specifications are established by the cited reporting. |
| Remake | Rebuilds more of the game rather than simply refreshing the existing release. | PC Gamer reported in February 2026 that FromSoftware rejected a Bluepoint pitch; that report is not an official plan. |
| PC port | Makes a version of the game available on another platform. | Cenat asked for a PC version; PlayStation’s US listing identifies the existing title as a PS4 release playable on PS5. |
What the original release is
PlayStation’s 2015 launch post called Bloodborne a PS4 exclusive. In that post, director Hidetaka Miyazaki described its setting: “Bloodborne takes place in an old city called Yharnam, where a sickness called the ‘scourge of the beast’ turns humans into malformed beasts.” (PlayStation Blog, March 2015)
PlayStation’s US listing displayed approximately 290,000 global player ratings when retrieved on October 8, 2026. That dynamic rating count is not a sales total and does not establish how many people want a remaster. (PlayStation’s US product page)
